SheppyFox Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 If Evans gets dropped I’ll be furious, and I’m as pro Puel as it gets.

Incredible game though, it really had everything. To this day still the only opposition goal I've applauded.

What about Dennis Bergkamp at Filbert Street in ....98 I think it was? The legendary 3-3 game? That was the best individual performance I have seen by any player at Filbert Street! I applauded him twice!
Clarkey123 Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 Fully expecting a win here and against spuds followed by us getting hammered by palace, you heard it here first
SecretPro Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 Chuck Youri straight in - he's in decent form and we are in desperate need of somebody able to link-up with Maddison and Vards. Sure, he's a new signing but he's proven and we've only got the lad for 14 games. I'm sure he will be buzzing to make a debut against United too. I can see no reason for him not to start apart from an overly cautious Puel or other players getting the arse.

Farrington fox Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 Barnes and Hamza will be keeping the bench warm. If anyone saw Youri coming, they should have left Barnes at WBA

Ghezzal and Diabate getting call ups were curved ball and out of the blue. Hamza getting left out of the squad altogether a couple of weeks ago when on fire is another example.

Anfield is a wonderful ground to visit even if the home fans are palpably anxious. Very amusing. And now I'm proper excited for Sunday. Would love a ding-dong 3-3 draw or such like I'd personally prefer a ding dong 4-3 win
fazzyfox Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 Utd have had their great recent run and seem to have a much more consistent and logical team selection now but the Burnley result / match gives me more confidence. So long as we don't concede an early gift again, again, again, it should be a bright lively game, I'm seeing a 2-2 with Tielemans on at half time. One of our fave panto villains, Sanchez, is back, expect him to spend more time on the floor than Shinji does, waving imaginary cards and trying to ref the game. As one of the Arsenal "who are ya" brigade I have a gift of our title winning squad poster for him to help with identification.
Keiriel Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 I don't think it'd hurt to demote Mendy to the bench for this game. I like him as a player, but I've noticed that it's his lapses in concentration that cost us early on in games. Morgan is no different, and I'm sure you've all heard Kasper yelling at him to 'wake the **** up' from time to time. Some players start poorly and finish strong, which leads me to believe that it's mostly a mental issue. Letting Hamza start is one potential solution to the problem; dropping Wes off in the middle of the woods before a game is another.

Bluetintedspecs Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 I'm intrigued what lineup Claude picks, personally think he'll go same as Anfield with Tielemans on bench. Looking forward too it immensely COYB

Wymsey Posted 1 February 2019 Posted 1 February 2019 Can see it being a game containing quite a few fouls and at least one red card. Can't see them parking the bus Mourinho-style, so we need to keep the ball as much as possible and try and limit the silly failed passes in dangerous areas that have occurred every now and then. There shouldn't be no high fear regarding Lukaku and Pogba in particular, really - they are very hit-and-miss and don't warrant their massive transfer fees. Think Choudhury is the best player to control Pogba imo. Will go for 4-2/4-3 for Leicester.
