Dan Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 This would be ridiculous from us. Bournemouth would be laughing their heads off.
lcfcrinaldi Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Would 100% have him with us, £40m sounds steep, but that's less than the real going rate for proven PL forwards.
lcfc sheff Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 This won’t be happening, but I think we all know a striker will be coming in the summer, Che Adams most likely which is exciting when we look at the season he’s having.
Scotch Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 If it was down to me, Mitrovic would be my first choice by a mile.

I severely doubt he's even spoken to the recruitment besides introducing himself as the best manager in the world with the best teeth and the most delightful man there's ever been. Even so, that's too expensive for a player with no resale value and a bad injury history. This exactly . What a load of old tosh . I saw it on the bbc website and laughed .
TiffToff88 Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Don't laugh at me, but i would rather take a punt on Josef Martinez from Atlanta Utd. Would probably be half the cost of Wilson and he had arguably the best ever season for an individual in the MLS last season.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Overpriced. I think we only need 3 players in the summer (LB back up, Tieleman or an alternative, new striker). If Brodge can get the most out of the squad we've currently got, by improving the way we play and improving the young players we've got, we don't need to spend a huge amount every summer.

Still only 24 and will be available for a fairly decent price because of relegation.... I think you are, mate.

davieG Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Leicester won't hand Brendan Rodgers bumper £200million transfer budget Reports suggested the former Celtic boss would have a kitty to rival any team but that could be wide of the mark. ByRecord Sport Online 14:56, 28 FEB 2019 SPORT (Image: Daily Record) Brendan Rodgers will not be handed a blank cheque by Leicester when the transfer window opens in the summer. Celtic supporters are still seething over the Irishman's departure but reports of a £200million signing kitty down south are wide of the mark. The Foxes have spent almost £300million on players over the past three seasons but have other expenditures to consider outwith signing new players. Leicestershire Live report the club have committed £80-£100m on a new training ground to take the former Premier League champions to the next level - which will be a boost for Rodgers who loves developing young talent. The King Power stadium is also set for a renovation - with the club's East Stand set to be upgraded and the attendance to be increased in the near future. Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has been strongly linked but the Cherries marksman would cost a reported £40million if he was to make the move. Leicester, who have sold the likes of N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez since their title triumph, will still look to make a sizeable splash when the signing period starts.

A few people on here said they'd like him. If he was a target why did we not sign a striker in January. Not sure tbh, but I do know he'd pretty much committed to joining us and the deal fell through for some reason
Clever Fox Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Any chance Rogers will give Slimani another chance with us. Just a thought.

Met with a guy this week who is a blues season ticket holder. He's hoping he goes despite scoring plenty this season, said he was absolutely dog sh*it previous two seasons, couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Despite scoring a few he says his all round game is pretty drab. Said he will drive him to the ground for us for £20m if that's the reported figure.
80footgiraffe Posted 1 March 2019 Posted 1 March 2019 Would prefer Che adams and he would cost less surely - around £25-30mil?
