HankMarvin Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 THE RIGHT CALL Brendan Rodgers to launch £40m transfer raid for Bournemouth ace Wilson as first swoop at Leicester in summer EXCLUSIVE Striker could cost up to £40million and has been wanted by both West Ham and Chelsea this season CALLUM WILSON is a summer target for Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers. The new club boss is looking to make a number of changes in the summer and wants a revamp of his strikeforce. Wilson, 27, could cost up to £40million and has been wanted by both West Ham and Chelsea this season. But the England striker could be tempted by a move to Leicester who are certain to invest heavily and strengthen. The striker has been stuck on the sidelines this month since he underwent an operation on his knee. He has been out of action since he hobbled off during Bournemouth's 2-0 win over the Hammers last month. Wilson was not ready to return for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolves. And he is not expected to feature when Eddie Howe's side take on Arsenal at the Emirates tonight. But he is still Bournemouth's top scorer this season, with 12 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions. The England international joined the Cherries in 2014 from Coventry City after loan spells with Kettering Town and Tamworth.
Clever Fox Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Always liked Wilson, I think he'd be perfect for us. He's an excellent striker.
matty98 Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 If we spend £40m on a 27 year old with his injury record I'll be shocked
davieG Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Along with half the Celtic team, Sturridge, Morelos and he’s not even started yet
Fox92 Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Always felt like he'd compliment Vardy well... similar sort of player... but with his injury record we shouldn't be looking at anywhere near £40m. Plus I think Bournemouth would want much more anyway.
Ric Flair Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Chronic knee injuries, but he's a superb player.
ALC Fox Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Excellent player but not worth the risk for £40m with his injury record. I'd rather we went in for David Brooks or Josh King if we're pilfering someone from Bournemouth.
cityfanlee23 Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 There's no way he would be commanding 40m. He simply isn't worth it. 25m and yes take a punt. 40m would be stupid.
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Bren going to sack off Vardy? We do need a new striker.
Nalis Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Just now, ALC Fox said: Excellent player but not worth the risk for £40m with his injury record. I really rate Ryan Fraser too, in general really as opposed to wanting him to sign for us given our options.

Finnegan Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 I'd wank myself in to an early death if we signed Brooks. I think he's probably my number one semi realistic transfer if I got to pick. Barnes, Maddison, Brooks, Ndidi, Tielemans Woof woof.
AKCJ Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 He's clearly a very good striker. But his injury record puts me off.
sdb Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 Great player who'd be great for us but £40 mill for any injury prone player seems daft.
wattolcfc Posted 27 February 2019 Posted 27 February 2019 I don't care about the cost of a player anymore, its out of our control and if he was to score 20 a season he would be worth every penny so if Brendan thinks he's the man, I'll back him. He can't be any worse than Kalechi, Musa & Slimani anyway!
