Plastik Man Posted 6 April 2019 Posted 6 April 2019 Born 28 March 1970, on which day we thrashed Charlton 5-0 awayaway! https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/history/matches/?mid=2244 But I'm sure I was born early evening, possibly interrupting my dad watching Doctor Who! So the first goal in my lifetime would've been 2 home games later, Ally Brown in a 1-0 win over Villa https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/history/matches/?mid=2246 Last year I picked up the programmes to the home games near my birthdate for pennies in a second hand shop in Clarendon Park ?
woznotwos Posted 6 April 2019 Posted 6 April 2019 Jimmy Goodfellow in a 2-1 win against Sheff Wed away from home. We won the world cup in the same year !!

Analysethis Posted 6 April 2019 Posted 6 April 2019 I was a summer baby so the first goal after my birth was John Farrington who scored in our 1-1 draw against Chelsea in front of 22,873 fans. A couple of weeks later Keith Weller was scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool in 3-2 win, I`d have preferred that one LOL
koop. Posted 6 April 2019 Posted 6 April 2019 I was born 26th October 1984 On the 27th Gary Lineker scored a hat-trick as we spanked the villa 5-0 Good welcome to the world

jayfox26 Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 I was born 27th August 1986 but the first goal of my lifetime didn't come until 3rd September 1986 and it was Gary McAllister against Liverpool. We won 2-1. Think we got relegated that season.
Guy Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 For me it was Allan Clarke on November 23rd 1968, netting in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the old first division, when I was three days old! It was the ill fated 1968-69 season when we had the dubious double of getting relegated from the top flight despite reaching the FA Cup Final that season, only to lose to Man City! Matt Gillies was manager succeeded by Frank O Farrell during the season. I guess that makes me 50 years - young!!

We lost 1-0 to Palace on new years day, then beat Chelsea 3-0 a couple of days later. Lineker scored twice and Smith got the other. Same as me, can’t see any goal times and might mean very little but Smith is listed before Lineker on the match info I’ve seen here https://www.11v11.com/matches/leicester-city-v-chelsea-03-january-1983-120543/ also seen on the fixtures when I was looking that we played away on the 27th of December to Middlesbrough and drew 1-1 and then played at home on the 28th of December to Barnsley and won 1-0
Bezzanator89 Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 Paul Reid scored in a 2-1 defeat away to Port Vale back in the 1989-90 season during the days of David Pleat.

Sunny Rhyl Fox Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 Jim Melrose 1-0 win away at wolves 1981/82 can still picture it now
Wizerud Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 John Sjoberg in a 1-4 defeat to Birmingham. And even though that happened in January it was our last league loss of that season (70/71).
steve555 Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 Mike Stringfellow in a 2-2 FA Cup draw at home to Blackburn, 9th January 1965. Won the replay 5 days later 2-1.
Alf Bentley Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 Mike Stringfellow for me, too, but a couple of years earlier in a 1-2 defeat at Fulham on the opening day of the 62-63 season.

We ended the season 4th with our last 4 games of the season all defeats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962–63_Leicester_City_F.C._season The first Leicester goal I saw was David Tomlin vs Stoke City(H) 24th March 1973. So you brought in the warm front, that totally ruined our title chance.. !!!

Was on holiday in Cornwall, first season of Big Brother was on, Sophie Ellis Bexter and Victoria Beckham were battling it out in the charts. You young whippersnapper.
Redimpsfan100 Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 17th January 1976 LCFC 2-1 Arsenal. Brian Alderson with an impossible low overhead kick to make it 1-1 very late in the game. It was an incredible goal. Bob Lee scored the winner with a header from a corner in added time. Arsenal cheated and time-wasted for most of the game. They got their just desserts! Can anyone remember it?

Makes sense if that one has Smith first.
Sydney_Fox Posted 8 April 2019 Posted 8 April 2019 Wayne Clark (?) Only league goal for Leicester according to wiki 19 August 1989 Hull City (A) 1-1. Good Thread!
