I know it's not the player's fault but buying him at £29M was not good buy. He was never worth that amount and the history books will show that Club bought a pup.

Leicester made a bit of a mess of things with Slimani. The club was very keen to sign him & if i remember rightly it took two windows to get the deal done.

We see how the value of a player drops with age & under performance.

We do seem to have moved on & are focusing on younger players who have sell on value.

His agent wont let him sign for less wages... and monaco wont pay that... so a loan allows his contract to tick dowb abd then he can move fir free and get high wages and sugning on fee.  I posted solution above.

If he hadn't have scored against Porto how far would we have progressed in the CL?

How much more did we earn by having an easier route and making the quarters rather than the last 16?

Well I didn't think he was as bad as everyone makes out. The season we played him most following our championship season...none of our team were that good. Then didn't really fit in to the team or the system. Hope he does well at Monaco it'll be good to see him banging them in again

I thought he was a good player and his goals per seem pretty decent for us.

Slimani was an upgrade on Ulloa. A proven scorer of headed goals, with more speed on the ground. It's not his fault that we played a system that didn't suit his game and he was never going to displace Vardy. He might have thrived under Puel who was getting people to whip balls in but with no one on the receiving end!

This may be slightly true.. but the truth is I will always prefer Ulloa all due to his attitude alone.

Slimani was signed from Sporting Lisbon after scoring 31 goals in a season and departs for Monaco. He has scored 27 goals in just over 60 international appearances. He has played regularly and scored regularly in the champions League and Europa League.

This is absolute nonsense. Ulloa has a much better all round game. Slimani could barely trap a ball or even jump for it half the time. Not sure why you're on about league/international comparisons either. How different is the Championship to the Portuguese league bar the big three?

 

Ulloa is Argentinian so no chance he plays for them but I'd imagine he'd have started for Algeria 60 times just like Slim.

 

When has Slimani scored regularly in the CL or EL? (I'm intrigued) and banging in 31 goals in Portgual doesn't say much for the standard of the league to be honest. Between Slimani and Cenk Tosun they're the worst PL forward transfers in about the last decade given the price tag.

 

And Slim managed a single goal in Turkey last season
