Wonder if BR is thinking to himself 'did i make the right move or not'

Celtic 0 v Livingston 0 ..... or .... Huddersfield 1 v LCFC 4

Tough choice. :P

Wonder which game Chris Sutton chose to watch....lol

Always a great away day at Huddersfield and I'll miss it. Thought he were superb today and every player great but I especially thought Maddison was class.

Well it's all opinions I thought we were very poor and with any half decent team no wsy would we have won by thst score.

I must admit we were not as impressive as we have been for the last couple of games but i wouldnt say we were poor. The score didnt reflect the game but then neither did the game earlier this season v Spurs when we lost 3-1?

TBH the fact we were playing a relegated squad might have had something to do with the fact we didnt need to do more, i would like to think had we been playing a different team we would have stepped it up a notch or 2.

At the end of the day a win is a win i guess and by winning with a 3 goal margin is not to be scoffed at.

Not sure what some of the negativity is on here, tbh - we've stunk the place out for most of the season - against teams that were as least as bad as Huddersfield were today.

This feels like a breath of fresh air to me. Routine win, happy players, 4 goals, 7th.

Best away atmosphere we have turned out in yonks.

Agree with that we were at the opposite end of the ground in the Huddersfield end and we could hear the Leicester fans all we could hear of the home fans was that bloody drum

Outclassed the opponent today.  There are no negatives.  Whenever Barnes/Gray/Ricardo/Madders got the ball in stride Huddersfield was in trouble because they couldn't cope with their pace.

I’m not down on Rodgers but remind me again how Puels first 5 games went?

Me neither, not yet. But the signs are looking good (as they did with Puel) .. Im not jumping on the band wagon yet but im running by the side of it ready to jump should we continue like we are for the rest of the season. I would imagine you are doing the same

But the style of play and the pressing forward is different to Puel. I feel that, under BR, we will progress further and play better and more positively than Puel would allow us to.

2 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat.

Which was pretty good, also we won our next 3. So after 8 games it was 5-2-1.

If our results are similar to that I’ll be chuffed to bits.

Still can't get over the fact at half time the Huddersfield announcer said 'our visitors today have won the top flight once but we've won it three times.' Utter madness lol

Brendan Rodgers' post match conference. First time in 18 months that you can watch one of these without falling asleep lol

I thought this was brilliant because Rodgers is quite open in answering questions, especially from a tactical point of view. What I like is that he also gives insight into what many of us were discussing in the match thread too about things that worked / did not work:

  • Says Vardy is tactically brilliant and one of the best in the league and that he is hungry to get better and that he really likes that.
  • Says Maddison is a better player than he thought after watching him play for Aberdeen a few years ago. Also says that it's not just about his ability, but he's doing the right things now and working hard for the team.
  • Specifically calls out Soyuncu and says he was very impressed given that he was only told about playing yesterday. Does mention the stray pass as a mistake in the second half but said that with Evans being touch and go, he didn't want to risk him and bring him off after 10 minutes, and because he had a top class young centre back on the bench he wanted to see how he would get on in a real game as he didn't have the opportunity so far. By all accounts he sounded very impressed by Soyuncu, so it might be quite the dilemma for the next match!
  • Explains the Shinji for Barnes sub. Says that Huddersfield were buoyant after their penalty and he wanted to regain control of the match. To do this he wanted to play 4 central players rather than 2 wide ones, so put Shinji on so the midfield could compress play horizontally. He says he felt the team did then regain control of the game, but he later shifted Shinji to a second striker and moved Maddison out wide. Doesn't explicitly say it, but I imagine it's because Shinji isn't the greatest left sided centre midfielder of all time!
  • Says he learned a lot about the team's spirit today. Was disappointed that the team didn't manage the game after being 2-0 up and this is something he wants to improve. But he liked that the team reacted and got back on top of the game and scored two more goals.

Overall I enjoy what Rodgers has to say and you can tell he really is a good coach. Still a bit smug, but if he's smug because Leicester are winning game after game, then let the smug times roll on!

Yes it was good at the time. From the next 3 games I’ll be expecting around 5 points.

He's probably talking about where he passed them the ball and they should have scored. Something he's done almost every game he's played.

Probably about giving new young buys, playing first season, with little game time some decent space, and leeway...the new buys need support while they feel their way...Critic is the easy road!!

The 3 in front of him have also made some gratious boo boos!!

Hey he ain't had  time to recognise his teammates...his head has had had more moves, than the whole team under Puel...:D
