Villa have a Midlands superiority complex which requires a couple of decaces in the lower divisions to correct. The Rams are a team that we can have a rivalry with. Plus the days when we stood in the kop and all that could be heard was "Baaaa" "Baaaaa" are great memories which need to be re-ignited. p.s. (Why the 's?) Because the OP wants to know the best thing pertaining to the playoff's. Which used to be us winning, but let's hope not any time soon.

Stuff Forest, keep them down there, they would hate it, if us and Derby are flying the flag for the EM
Lambert09 Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 I know we arent supposed to be worried about playing these sides anymore, but id be much more confident playing Derby than Villa. As someone said earlier... as long as whoever it is goes straight back down.

Lampard has done it a bit like Pearson and deserves credit. It looks as if he'll be off to Chelsea and so Derby will be back in the Sheep shit.
Clever Fox Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 On a separate issue, I though all 4 goalkeepers pulled off some incredible saves.

It's APOSTROPHE. Please. When does the season start? We're dying here, and it's not even June. (Please note double correct use of Apostrophe. That's Wyggy boys for you!)
RussianFox Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 Derby for me. 1. It will be easier to take all 6 points against them. 2. Them updating the "lowest points ever" record would be hilarious, who can argue with that? Imagine how crushed they'd be after going straight back down. 3. I believe there's much lesser threat of them becoming new Wolves (i.e. finishing above us and/or compete for players). Villa can rot in lower leagues for 10 more years. 4. Actual derby games, hopefully with a bit more passion and banter.
Guy Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 Either or for me - we need a few more Midlands derbies since WBA 'brought it' last season and failed to get back at the first attempt!

It never feels like a 'derby' when we play any of the West Midlands clubs (bar Coventry but that isn't happening for 50 years). I'd enjoy playing Derby again though
420Hashish Posted 17 May 2019 Posted 17 May 2019 I'd like Derby to come up because the atmosphere there in the FA cup a few years ago in 2016/2017 was awesome to say the least.
Burgh foxes 01 Posted 17 May 2019 Posted 17 May 2019 Don’t much like neither off them, villa at a push.

boots60 Posted 17 May 2019 Posted 17 May 2019 Villa I would like derby to be relegated in every future season of their existence.
