Maybe even that amount of money would go further if they recruited closer to home. 1
simon789us Posted 23 July 2019 Posted 23 July 2019 hope he stays think he could do a good job given games against the lesser teams

baldeagle Posted 24 July 2019 Posted 24 July 2019 Not sure what other people are seeing as to me he looked average again against a league 2 team . 2

JayT - Always A Fox! Posted 24 July 2019 Posted 24 July 2019 Think if we don’t get another Midfielder he’ll be staying. I still think he has something to offer?

He cost an alleged £22m (but we won't have paid any add-ons so doubt it's that much). Where does the other £28m come from? His salary certainly doesn't come to anything like that.

Now if you factor in the fact That we could of bought a player who increased in value instead of Silva it is even more.? whatever the true cost is he has been a complete waste of money, but you win some and lose some in the transfer market. 2

Jesus Chris, people are using National Insurance as an excuse to criticize a player?! **** me, I've heard everything now 1 1 4

He's on 80k a week max. That's £4m a year, so a total salary package of £16m plus the fee of £22m (ear in mind that if he leaves now we won't have paid the full 22 or 16). That's a lot of NI and agents fees. Still nowhere near £50m
