Quite possibly mate ,

although a lot of loan deals do  seem to include the parent club paying a proportion of the wage.

He cost an alleged £22m (but we won't have paid any add-ons so doubt it's that much).

Where does the other £28m come from? His salary certainly doesn't come to anything like that.

National insurance,agent fees etc...usually the total cost is double the transfer fee. Now if you factor in the fact That we could of bought a player who increased in value instead of Silva it is even more.? whatever the true cost is he has been a complete waste of money, but you win some and lose some in the transfer market.

He's on 80k a week max.

That's £4m a year, so a total salary package of £16m plus the fee of £22m (ear in mind that if he leaves now we won't have paid the full 22 or 16).

 

That's a lot of NI and agents  fees.
