Considering we spent £8m on Ayew it’s baffling we didn’t spend £7.5m on the option for Yunus Akgun.

5m. Rising to 8m with add ons. He hasnt reached those add-ons.

My bad, great deal then lol

We were still prepared to commit £8m to Ayew over £7.5m on Yunus.

We could have bought Akgun and got pretty much all that back if it hadn’t worked out. Ayew there’s no sell on value and we knew he wasn’t good enough from the start. The only upside with him is that he might be decent in the Championship to get us back up.

And lastly why they gave him a 1890 FA Cup? looking thing? This thing looks like had been ın a garage for nearly 100 years old and covered by rust and dust 😅😂

Well Enzo didn't want him (presumably) so that did for that one.

What a nob! Still, it's 25 more points than we managed to get in the past year...

CHELSEA star Wesley Fofana has been banned from driving for two years after racking up 47 points on his licence.

The Premier League star committed eight offences in three different vehicles in less than a year.

I personally would have reflected on my driving practices after 35 points.

Hindsight. There would have been outrage if we spent £7.5m on Akgun. A bloke that couldn't get a game for us in the Championship.

Definitely more outrage was always going to be directed at a potential £8m spent on a declining 33 year old squad player than it was on a potential £7.5m for a 24 year old player that was visibly unlucky not to start many more games under Enzo.

Jonny Evans retiring. Having won it all too.

His time here ended terribly, especially considering he was captain, but he is probably the most complete defender I’ve seen here. Shame we bought him so late in his career.

Shame too that he could hardly be bothered playing for us at times. But you're right, when he was fit and selected we knew we had a solid defence.
