Sheffield United (A) pre match

How good are theee lot? I haven't watched a single minute of them. A draw and a win to start with is a good return. But I have no idea what to expect from them.

I watched the game earlier. Better than I thought although Palace were atrocious. 

 

Praet in for Hamza for me as we should expect more of the ball than the Chelsea game. Rest unchanged.

Werent particularly brilliant. Hard working team and theyll rely on that more than anything. Palace were pathetic though so its not a great barometer.

 

We should win and get some goals.

Was really impressed by their performance against Palace. Didn't give them a sniff and hounded Zaha out onto the periphery of the game. I expect them to try the same with Maddison.

Am actually slightly worried for this game. They play a similar formation to Wolves and they managed to out play us a fair bit

I'm absolutely desperate for us to go back to Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi in the middle. We came alive when Maddison got a lot more ball in the middle of the park in the second half. The game has to flow through him, we need him on the ball not awkwardly out on the flank. 

 

If we must start with the shape we did today, Praet should come in for Hamza. He looks like he'll graft defensively, he's fairly athletic and just twenty times better on the ball. 

 

The more Hama plays as a box to box midfielder instead of just the ball winner, the more exposed he gets as just not really being ready for this level.

I believe Maddison has history with the Blades fans as he kept supposedly diving against them and got some threats after the game so I suspect there’ll be a warm welcome for him.

Praet for Hamza only change for me. This is is the sort of game where Perez better goal scoring instincts may be useful. 

 

Glad Sheff utd got their first win today. 

 

Play we did second half and we should win. This is where we begin to see whether we've improved or not.

Watched there game today, they are pretty solid and work as a team however if we perform anything like we did in the second half then our quality should get us the 3 points

Yeah Chilwell should start if fit, but I'd at least have Fuchs on the bench.

The obvious change for me after today is praet in for Hamza and start Maddison in the middle. Not convinced about Perez. Who would replace him, Barnes?

They did well against Palace but we should be able to beat them.

 

Keep playing Maddison and Pérez out wide and we'll misfire.

Their centre back O’Connell looked a good player and was instrumental in the build up to the goal as they get their centre backs overlapping. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got himself into England contention and a bigger/more established club comes calling if he keeps the performances up.

I know BR has moved away from

there is not going to be any space at all to work with like there was today. completely different game. 

 

you'd like to think we have enough both to break them down and to keep them out at the other end, but i wouldn’t say i was massively confident.
