It is strange how so many have turned on him. In delighted we're ahead of them, but we'd all do the same as he did (if we weren't lcfc fans!). He was great for us, on and off the field, and we got a massive stash of money for him too.

I think it's all light hearted tbf. He had one good season for us and then left for a massive amount of money, mainly due to his reputation with England imo. Got to be considered a great signing purely based on the profit we've made on him. I was totally indifferent to him leaving

He might look on in envy next season when he watches his ex-team mates playing in the UCL and he's playing in the early rounds of the League Cup. I enjoyed watching him play for us but he wouldn't get into our starting 11 now.

I liked Harry, i was a little sad when he chose to go but it was a just another progression for our club considering the funds we received. Boy were they some funds too!

Whether he regrets it or not, i guess we will never know.

I have to admit, i do snigger when he cocks up though.

He wanted out, he jumped out at the first chance he could. I have no ill feelings towards Maguire but his agent sold him a pipe dream would have been better off at Manchester City. Manchester United will be nowhere no Top 4 this season.

He’s getting paid more than double what he was before. He won’t care that we are third and they are in a relegation fight will he. Fair play to him I say and we are a better team without him so we are all happy.

I dunno, if I was a footballer with no connection to a club other than playing for them for a couple years, and got to move to a traditionally massive, world wide club who I supported throughout childhood and dreamt of playing for, and in my first season captained them in Europe whilst earning nearly 200k a week, I wouldn't mind too much.

Exactly, lets not become like Southampton with our bitterness when players leave for bigger clubs. Liverpool weren't too great when they were taking their players but look at them now. Admittedly OGS might have to leave but Man Utd are still 1000 times more likely to win the league before we next do.

Fed up hearing about him now tbh. He was average for us and I keep seeing threads as if we've lost someone essential like Mahrez or Kante.

I'd much rather have Soyuncu and Evans at the back. I know Manchester United fans think we are taking the piss saying that but it's true, Soyuncu has that pace Maguire never had and I feel more comfortable when an opposition forward is played through (or whatever).

He is a modern professional footballer.

Left Hull and was appropriate, came to us, seemed to do his best, performed professionally, was offered stupid money by Manu, was appropriate and professional in leaving us.

A modern footballer earning his wage.

Yeah there is no issue there. I've seen no real animosity to him from our fans. It is funny to see them being so poor though regardless of old slab head being there

Maguire battling it out mid table isn't going to stop players wanting a move. Only Champions League football is.

And even then Kante and Mahrez wanted out

Mahrez stayed for Champions League football.

He did but I never felt like he was fully committed to us after the title win. Always had one eye on the door

I'll always have fond memories of Riyad despite the fact he could now go on Mastermind with the specialist subject of 'European Airport Lounges'.

Mahrez behaved disgracefully. That shouldn't be forgotten.

Co-opted depression to try and force our owners hands. Went on strike. Whined and sulked both on the pitch and in the media. The actions of a scumbag.

He was a great player, one of our very very best, but his behaviour had a huge impact on the team towards the end.

It's a real shame. We loved him and it showed at the end the depth of his feeling for Leicester.

A tad harsh I think. Very disrespectful to the club but just acted like a modern day footballer in all honesty. A club of our size will always struggle to keep that calibre of player (except for Vardy)

Right now it’s not fantastic at Utd but over the next few years it’s fairly conceivable that Utd will get back into the top 4, maybe at our expense.

I’m sure he’s doing just fine!

Once a player leaves I have no further interest in them.

Maguire made his decision and he has to live with that. But I'm sure counting his huge wages and transfer fee cut will help him through the bad times.

But apart from money, I can't understand why any top player wants to join Man Utd at the moment. An out of his depth manager, big ego players, bang average players and it's looking more and more like they will be struggling around mid table for what could be the next few years.

However, agents will continue to promote Man Utd because they will continue to pay over the top wages and transfer fees, which is far more important to agents than the players they represent.

As soon as they appoint a recognised top manager I'm sure they'll be back there in no time. But will that manager see Maguire as the CB to help them there?

Why so much bitterness towards a player who was brilliant for us I'll never know. Good luck Harry.

Fully agree. And if it wasn't for Harry's move we wouldn't have the pleasure of watching Cags slap his team mates during goal celebrations.

I said at the time and i'll say it now, other than financially I don't see why on earth anyone would want to go to Man Utd in their current state.

Financially it has a huge pull though and who am I to judge, fair play.

Same as Drinkwater (Although his career virtually ended/he retired the moment he left Leicester), everyone knew that, I think he's abit of a mercenary and not actually the bothered about playing football. Again who am I to judge though, fair play to him, he's richer than i'll ever be, who's laughing? He never seemed bothered about international call ups (Which at the time, I agreed with and couldn't blame him for) and everyone knew he wasn't going to play at Chelsea, I can't see him resurrecting his career at this level again.

Atleast Maguire went somewhere where he knows he'll play, in a top league (But he had that here with a potentially better future), even though I don't see Man Utd winning anything for a long time (Or potentially while he is there).

For every Maguire and Drinkwater there is a Kante and Mahrez who have gone on to get bigger money and win things, I questioned Mahrez's move, whether he'd play, whether he'd fit in, it looks like it's coming together for him there but Kante and Mahrez seem very career motivated, which Maguire does, so I ask the question again, other than financially why go to Man Utd in their current state?!

I just hope our other players, our younger players seriously consider potential moves, look past the pound notes (Easier said than done I can understand) and use formers players experiences as food for thought.

It's not harsh.

I get the wanting to move away. I understand that. But leaking to the press that you're depressed? Refusing to play despite being on obscene wages? And all this to force the hands of the chairmen, who gave him nothing but fame and fortune?

I can't really see how his integrity is intact after that.

Maguire is a modern footballer, why didn't he do it?
