NETFLIX RECOMMENDATIONS: stuff to watch

Recommended Posts

I watched a film called Boyhood by Richard Linklater at the weekend.

Probably been mentioned before but it follows a family and was shot over 13/14 years. Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke are the parents. Really good watch.

I’ve just finished the first episode of “The English Game” and rather enjoyed it.

Finished it over two evenings. Brilliant story, even the Mrs enjoyed it.

Told her Leicester had never won the FA Cup, which she found hilarious given the series is set in the late 1800s.

Anyone got any 'based on a true story' suggestions? Just finished The Pharmacist which was great.

Just watched this, as you mentioned it above...

What an amazing story - the guy is relentless!

Really well made - highly recommend

When They See Us.

Watched the first one yday and it's amazing what the Cops could get away with with to black kids in USA. Hope there's a happy ending for the kids...(If innocent,as I presume they are!)

He's made some wonderful films over the years. Dazed and Confused, The Sunrise Trilogy and A Scanner Darkly to name a few.

Money heist is probably the best thing I’ve watched recently if you haven’t watched that. Also house of cards and mindhunter are both class.

@Ashley

@Unabomber beat me to it. Money Heist is pretty much the first thing I recommend to people these days. For one programme and two series, it's got a lot to get stuck in to!

That's because it's Spanish.
