Meanwhile in Australia there is no toilet paper to be found anywhere!

Masses of idiots for want of a better term are stockpiling and you supermarkets are fast running out.

Shelves are empty all over!

This is after a handful of cases here, we’ve all gone mad.

And a video has been widely shared showing people in China tapping their feet against one another – dubbed the “Wuhan Shake” – as a hands-free greeting.

Now this I can get behind. Great idea just in general imo.

its like some kind of masonic (zionist) dance type thing, its weird, whats wrong with just saying hi, why the need to touch anyone, i never understood the need to grab someones hand anyway, i wouldn't touch a stranger normally, but im expected to grope their hand because they have said hi, no thanks.

i also wont be foot dancing with people, i will just say hi, or nod my head,

This. I always hated having to shake hands with people as part of my job especially when you know as visitors they've already been to the toilet.

Why do toilet entrances always open inwards so you have to grab hold of a potential germ/piss/shit ridden handle to open the door?

Did my weekly supermarket food shop last night and all the pasta had sold out through people panic buying and stocking up apparently.

Madness indeed.

My personal view is that it's worthwhile stocking up on a bit of extra stuff, without necessarily going mad. Every weekly shop i do I'm adding a bit of extra stuff to put to one side in case me, or anyone in the family needs to isolate for a bit.

Chris Whitty, the expert advising the government has already said we're likely about to move from the Containment to the Delay phase, and that in about 6 weeks time there will be pretty widespread community transmission. At that point, you can probably expect the government advice to move towards working from home (where possible), closing schools, and postponing large scale events.

My propensity to batch cook and freeze meals but never actually use them will come in handy. I'll be living like a king whilst everyone else is bored of pasta

The panic buying seems to move from one item to the other. When one sells out people start finding the next thing to stock up on.

So far it's been:

Masks > hand sanitiser > disinfectant wipes > pasta > toilet paper > soon paracetamol (India has stopped exporting it apparently)

UK claiming it will be fine due to pre existing stockpiles built up in preparation for Brexit.. We'll see how true that is.

I get the pallets of Shit tons of bog roll from Costco as standard anyway....so if anyone Is struggling to find any I’m charging £20 per sheet.

I did put a few extra bits in the trolley at shopping last night. I woudn't say it is panic buying but just a bit of preparedness in the event of having to self isolate or disruption to supplies.

Chucked a few extra items in the freezer and cupboard items (rice, pasta, tinned soup etc) and other essentials (gin, wine, beer)
