I think that the easiest part of this will be suspending the League. Imagine the reactions when discussions begin about when and how the season completes.

No way on earth the League will resume on 3rd April. If anything, Corona will be worse by then. It's merely the Premier League buying time to discuss with TV, Sponsors and teams etc how they will go about cancelling the season.

Quite agree. I think next week's meeting of Uefa is key. If they postpone Euro finals to next summer then It would be possible to extend the season in all European countries into the summer. I think the FA cup is likely to be abandoned but I think they will do all they can to finish the league seasons even if some matches need to be played behind closed doors.
