Bruce got pretty much zero credit for actually making Newcastle something near competitive last season.

Some good additions, I think they’ll be comfortable again this season. Be nice to see them being more competitive in games against the top four though, he essentially went into those games knowing they’d lose and often they got absolutely twatted.

I thought you only bought him off the back of a half decent World Cup.

Some revisionism going on here. Our record post restart was just as good as before it. We won our first three games and ended up up with 5 wins out of 9.

i wish we had ……..

I actually thought that Callum Wilson might be a realistic target for us. We seriously need to start finding some more support/rotation for Vardy. The reported £20m fee wouldn’t have broken the bank either.

Not the most exciting signing, but at least it is a signing. Nervous if the window closes and we only have Vards and Nacho .

Didn't they beat Man City last season?

Maguire fvcking up and now Greenwood. Got to imagine they’ll walk all over Ole and his nice guy attitude toward them this year.

Hope this United team start to plummet, I really do

Wow that's a massive screw up by Foden and Greenwood.

Wonder how Gareth and the press will treat them.

They should be hauled over the coals for this just like Madison was.

Well, even more so, considering Maddison didn't technically do anything wrong..!

Exactly! He went to a casino as is his right to do. It was absolutely mental that he got thrown out to slaughter for it.

Not gonna happen, I fear. They're much much stronger than this season, even with the Hobbit at the wheel.

Interesting insight

It would be interesting to know which number of conversation about that subject that was.

I say that because if that's Rose' response after the 3rd or 4th team he's brought it up then fair enough. But if he's gone straight to 'I want to speak to the chairman, this is bullshit' after their first chat about it then it's out of order from Rose.

Jose responds to players who want to know how they can improve (saw that with him and Alli earlier in this series) so if that's conversation one, Rose should really be asking what he can do to get back into and stay in the team.

His point about 'others are shit every week and play every week' is interesting too. Problem is Jose had no replacement for Aurier.... he had Davies, Tanganga and Sessegnon fighting for Rose' spot... that's the difference.

Like you say though, interesting insight, the Amazon docs show a lot more than some of the ones i've seen on other platforms.... must take a hell of a lot of paperwork to air a scene like that!

It is an insight. it's like any manager and reportee review in most companies . The truth is Jose thinks Rose is not good enough but is astute as he is is never going to outrightly say that. The reportee is always in denial (no-one thinks they aren't up to it) and says its only a few games where I was crap.....and its not fair because the others are treated better than me.

This is stage one in how you get the people and are not good enough you don't want out.

Hmmmm. I feel like Jose could have easily just said look Danny, not sure you’re good enough for us at the minute and I can’t guarantee you minutes. Keep a professional attitude in training, stay fit and we’ll get you a move as soon as we can. No hard feelings. No point paying him lip service when he’s clearly already pissed off.

Running off to talk to Levy is a bit weird mind.

I think that's a fair comparison. But really in football it's all about what i've put second to last sentence. If Rose was their only available left back, he'd have got the run in the team he's asked for and might have turned it around. There's so much luck/timing involved in successful football careers.... case in point Aurier gets to play an entire season unchallenged despite looking like he's won a competition to play for Spurs in a charity game every week.

I think letting him know the child he picked ahead of him is 'so much quicker and so much better at defending' was probably his way of saying there wasn't a place for him anymore lol

Depends at which point this conversation took place. If it's a repetitive thing then why doesn't he speak to Jose's boss?

Yes context is of course important
