What’s happened to him? He had his injury in 18/19 and was due to be fit again last summer according to transfermarkt. He was in the 25 man squad for last season but didn’t make a single appearance. He’s not an outstanding player by any means but given the fixture congestion next season he might be called upon

He’s a good squad option…. I still believe he has potential to develop

Be interesting to see if he starts to be considered as he looked best at fullback

Hasn't had a competitive game since October 2018 due to his injury, before that in the 3 and a quarter seasons he played 46 games.

I think he's time has gone.

If he's the answer, we may as well say James is as well.

“We are looking to find new opportunities for Amartey," Chibsah told Starr FM.  “He’s been out of favour from the new gaffer so we will see how best we can solve that issue.

“Amartey is still with the Foxes but he has not been getting more playing time due to the fact that he got injured. After his injury, they consider him as surplus so there should be a way out."

Seen he was with Gray on Instagram so he's obviously in and around them still. Hasnt played since he broke his ankle back in 2018 has he?

He obviously had that injury and believe he ended up needing a second operation on his ankle. Assumed he was still recovering or just not in the plans anymore

Two years, dished out another four year contract a few months after his leg break in typical LCFC fashion.

But during that run he'd cemented a first team spot and was used pretty frequently. The lad just had a bloody awful injury, the way his ankle just hung in the air was grim, we were financially secure. The contract to help him was hardly huge.

I feel really sorry for him, He was progressing nicely until his accident.

The new contract was the right and decent thing to do by the Club.

It was a bad break so my guess is the Club don't feel his Ankle wouldn't stand up to the rigors of the Premiership, And so a transfer might be the best solution all round. We might recover some of our outlay on him while he gets a chance to try and resurrect his career elsewhere.

I think he had great potential but I'd be surprised if he was given another chance here given the extent of his injury.

LB

Justin

Thomas

Fuchs

RB

Pereira

(Justin)

Amartey

I’d hope we get a left back in but for a season that would suffice. Would rather we used the Chilwell cash to get on a quality winger than a medium term LB.

Does anyone remember the Amartay early days when he used to play attacking mid at times? Always thought he had something about him going forward that could be developed but we've just let him rot.

We never gave him a position -- RB, DCM, ACM, and he played CB for Ghana. In all honesty, I think a fresh start would be best for him.

I remember wanting my gouge my eyes out many times at him in CM with King.

Not graced the pitch since Vichai was still with us, very sad.

Yes he suffered that injury in that ill fated game v West Ham in Oct.2018 and we thought that was to the only bad news on that most tragic of evenings....
