It would be lovely to see him hit a vein of form

Yesterday day he was more stuck in... and he didn't disappear.   One swallow doesn't make a summer... but a vein has to start some place.

Just at a further to this - I'm not advocating for a hate campaign every time he doesn't perform.

But - he was shit for six months and has only really got it together after feeling like folk had enough. It's very clear that he wants to be adored and becomes motivated if he isn't. That's something Brendan can use.

Fans have been shit,by ignoring his injury worries...and Lack of support & encouragement...

It wasn't the December- February version where he was running games at times but that slippery, awkward player looked like he was returning.

Encouraging.

I know people don't condone booing and that but his upturn in form has directly coincided with the manager and the fans demonstrating annoyance with him.

Correlation is not causation.

I will never believe that the effect of booing one's own players can be anything other than negative.

....it can be.....!!!

Take a look at Vardy's reaction to bating, it depends on the player, some will wilt, others will try to prove the haters wrong.

There's a difference between being baited by the opposition fans, which is to be expected and being turned on by your own.

Correlation might not be causation but that isn't grounds to write off anything. That stands as a caveat to further investigation and not as a wholesale write off.

I know it’s so easy to criticise Brendan on here but that is just simple, good management. This is what you’re about James, don’t let anyone tell you any different.

Well I have been one of his regular critics for the past few years, but I would be all clapping for him when he cares and does well. I think he did a decent job on Saturday. It was right for him to come off but it does not mean he was bad. If he can really add to his new found humility (hopefully) more precision passing instead of just kicking into an area (right idea but pass often too heavy, too light or angled incorrectly), he can be a great player and I would be very happy for him.

Anyway, a spell on the bench seems to have done him some good. No player should be shielded from being dropped which was why fans were frustrated at Brendan. Hope Barnes can get sharpness back by being on the bench. He has been quite poor lately too.

I disagree.  I'm going to write off booing your own players, set it on fire, and then stamp on it until it's dead.

There's only one way I can respond to this comment

2 games of him turning to be on the front foot, looking up, not delaying passes and running with some intensity.....and we have looked so much better offensively. Credit where credits due...hopefully he can keep it up!

Fantastic tonight. Back wanting the ball and back playing on the half turn. Still room for improvement but he was good tonight.
