If we finish any higher than 12th this season it will be up there with one of our greatest ever seasons (behind the obvious achievements of course).

This absolute turd of a season just gets worse and worse.

I guess we will finally get to see what the forgotten Benkovic can do... hoping for some crazy plot twist where he turns out to be a complete revelation...

wishful thinking I reckon, I can't see him playing a game for us

Was his last game for us Wigan in the FA cup also in the third round?

I think you might be right. I seem to recall he did alright, but went off injured (lol)?

I have a very creative imagination!

I think surely he's going to start tomorrow. League matches we wait and see...

If we finish higher than 12th this season will it be an even greater achievement than derby avoiding relegation? lol

I thought playing U23's wasn't an option or was that just to get a game cancelled (i.e. There are only 11 senior players and the rest are inexperienced)? I agree with that method.

You can ask for a covid postponement if you have less than 14 o/field players (and obvs you have a covid case). You must count U23’s as outfield players if they have played in any PL games

You must use U23’s if you don’t have enough players and the reason is injuries ….

Theyll play tomorrow but I highly highly doubt Everton will be on.

Why? We have no covid cases?

Rather go all out in the cup (as much as we can anyway) than try and focus on getting to something like 8/9th in the league.

Agree we can't just roll over in the early rounds of our FA Cup defence. We aint getting any higher than 8th in the league even if our injuries ease up

Shameful this. Seen it happen to lowe league clubs where they have no money so I'm very sympathetic to that. But for a club of our size with all the access to facilities, staff etc. and the sheer money available, it's inexcusable. Rodgers should have nothing to do with anything related to the conditioning/medical teams and they themselves need a complete overhaul now.

Bad luck for it to happen 1 season and even 2, but 3 seasons of huge injury problems is something else.

Has it got to the stage where kasper needs to ring round and get some ringers in?

Seen better managed Sunday league teams.

How many of these injuries occurred during training? They've all occurred in matches pretty well haven't they?

who has covid ? Tbh, it’s not that difficult to catch it.  It’s a it like the old insurance joke - ‘when is the fire?’

of course, if vards or Evans get it now then we couldn’t use them as a reason to postpone

I assume Brendan has gone into detail on when players will be available again (Burnley or brighton) so that the PL can’t argue that we have enough when the inevitable covid case is found on Monday !

Rodgers has conveniently not mentioned the other players missing tomorrow as well, there's another 5 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
