Castagne

Recommended Posts

I like Castagne, but I’m becoming really concerned by his performances. He’s never been an attacking full back, but even defensively he seems to be regressing, which is alarming because I don’t think he’s ever been particularly outstanding defensively.

Maybe seeing Kristiansen as a LB has shown what Castagne is missing.

I feel the same.  How many times have we seen teams spray a fairly simple cross field ball into Castagne's area and he's caught under the ball or behind play.  We end up in deep sh1t.

I just don't think he's that good.

I’ve been concerned by him for ages, but he’s been utterly appalling today so far. Please get him off. He can be back up for the rest of his time he’s at the club, really doesn’t do enough to warrant a start.

He's been dreadful this season, was he on a purple patch or another player Brendan has ruined? His performance so far has been pathetic, luckily for him Zaha's gone off injured.

Rodgers has ruined him, he was class when he first joined. Now he's championship quality.

He was solid when he first came here. Probably another one Rodgers has made worse, along with Ndidi and Soyuncu and many others. I think he’s tried to leave in the last few windows - don’t blame him to be fair.

He’s probably got a start today because Ricky might be regarded as too attacking minded?

I like many others have been fairly underwhelmed by Timmy, but credit where credit is due

he is actually joint third for tackles this season

Trying to win it back after losing it most likely.
