He'll overtake both Steve Walsh and Mark Wallington this year barring injury, which is still pretty hard to get your head round. Never thought I'd see another player rack up 450+ appearances when we were bottom of the Championship and overhauling the squad every year, it felt like the days of players being at the club that long were long gone.

Remember Ricardo?

Not sure many others will notice or comment, but his distribution for the 2nd goal was brilliant. Pinpoint pass to Kel to set up the counter.

I was shouting at him to calm it down ………what do I know!

Time to give Ward a chance?

6 today

6 times he picked the ball out of the net against Chelsea.

Time for a rest?

Ward has Covid I think? Not sure when he is back but would certainly give him a chance when he is fit enough

Kasper needs a bit of a kick up the arse

Been very poor since his comments about wanting to go and play CL again

I think he's on the decline and will be phased out shortly (next 12 months), but the current shitshow on marking on set pieces, crosses and just about any other time the ball comes near our goal can't be helping his situation.

Yes but how many of the 6 were his fault and how about the few great saves he made? Today was not his fault.

Being frightened to leave his line makes defending corners a non-starter.

When you concede as many as we do there has to be questionmarks against the keeper - despite him being a brilliant 'shot stopper'.

Shot stopping is sublime, one of the best in a 1v1 situation or snap shots, but even the most diehard Kasper fan will know his commanding of his box 6 yard area I'm afraid is poor. The back line depend on the GK for this zone.

Teams know its his weakness and target it by putting the ball roght under his cross bar knowing more often than not he will not come.

He's a top keeper with this as his achielles and although the back line seem unable to win the first ball, he has to take his share.

Ridiculous to blame Schmeichel for any of those goals.

The 3rd goal was really bad goalkeeping and his fault, as for the 5th and 6th, teams put the ball at the edge of our 6 yard box as he never commands it and we concede so many goals as he is glued to his line, so I would say at fault for 3

The one where he's clawed at it in the middle of the box, full panic mode there - Gundogan's goal. Apart from that though it's harsh to single him out.

Still not convinced he's a proper leader.

Agree with your first point but not second. I see Kasper as definitely a leader of players. Vocal with his own players, against opposition and to the ref. Shown great humility over Vichai tragedy and Erikksen in summer. Strikes me as a person players would listen to and respect, not to mention his length of service with the club.

He has weaknesses like all goalkeepers but has been a tremendous player for us and will leave us under that legendary status one day.

Like it or not we need a goalie who can catch a ball from corners, Kasper doesn’t offer that. We need to be looking at a new goalie for definite this summer. He’s had it as much as he’s good at shot stopping he’s costing our defence from set pieces more than people think.

Just watched the highlights, and sorry to say, Kasper costs us yet again. He's been great for us, but if we want to be a consistent top team, we need a consistent top keeper, and Kasper simply isn't. Look at that 3rd goal today, it was a pissed Sunday League attempt at a save. Time to get Iversen back from Preston and give the lad a proper shot at the top, he's earned it from what I've seen. Mind you I've been calling for Kasper's head for bloody years, not a patch on Banks, Shilton, Wallington, Flowers - or Arphexad!

If people are determined to hate, there's not much point trying to change their mind.

What a stupid thing to say.

Did you listen to the game on the radio?

Or watch it?

The 3rd goal he parried out right into opposition player.

The 6th he lets a player score a tap in a yard in front of him in the 6 yard box after just conceding a almost identical corner 20 minutes before.

No one is asking him to be Bruce  Grobbelaar but to command your 6 yard Box would be nice.

Is it too much to expect a goalkeeper to also organise defenders for set pieces?

Whilst the the defending is shambolic, to have the worst record in the league for conceding set pieces the GK also has to share responsibility for this. Half a season played clearly Indicates it’s not just a blip in form.

And his point blank save from sterling was just luck I guess 😫😫😫
