The difference is that he defends with such aggression. If he were playing from the start of the season, he would be a contender for player of the season.

He's good at throw ins.... really love those long throw ins in the penalty box

How have we not used these before? I don’t really ever remember him doing one

Although at some point the linesman/woman is going to notice that every long throw he takes, he has a foot over the line and is a foul throw.

He has done well since getting back in the team, he's a proper trier,  and I think will be fine next season in the championship, but he does lack quality, and he isn't the longer tern answer for us at left back in my opinion.

Burst on to the scene at a very young age, however our decline was always going to have a pretty negative effect on his development, plus the culture at the club was not the best, as a result his form took a massive downturn.

Luke deserves a massive amount of credit for the way he has turned his career around,  and I think he will be an important player for us next season, although I would not be shocked if he ends up with a move in the summer would be a decent option for a lot of premier league clubs as back up or for one of the promoted clubs as a possible starter. Also I think the club would see £10m+ of pure  profit from PSR point of view too good to turn down.

No brainer he's our LB next season with competition from either Bade Aluko (RB might be where's he better though) or an attacking maverick from South America.

I like Thomas and have defended him consistently but a left back from a relegated side with a year left on his contract is not pulling in £10mill.

As long as part of the foot is touching the line it’s not a foul throw

You can't tell from the TV footage of yesterday's game to be fair, cos the pictures are too far away, but from games at our ground, it has been very noticeable that his foot hasn't been touching the line, and has been well over.  I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that unless he is made aware of it, then at some point he will be pulled up for it.

The thrower must have part of each foot on the touch-line or on the ground outside the touch-line, and use both hands to deliver the ball from behind and over the head. The ball becomes in play as soon as it enters the field of play.

Not even close to being a foul throw.

The amount of netball passes which seem to go unnoticed these days and they're up in arms about this?

Are you sure you don't mean Kyle Walker Peters on a 5 year deal?

It was hilarious how angry they were getting at this yesterday. Especially as we scored as a result of one. lol

Fair throw that. Didn't see that on the TV coverage. Previous games, certainly against Liverpool, and I think Southampton, his foot was clearly over the line.  Maybe someone has made him aware, and he's sorted it out, which is what should have happened.

The long throw can be a good weapon. But we don't make proper use of his long throw.

We should have Vesty or Faces near the 6 yd line heading it back out to the edge of the box for someone to score from. Because that is where the space is.

I like him, it's just a pity he's not a bit taller.

I honestly can’t see us signing a left back in the summer with money being tight and key areas needing strengthening. I think either Coulibaly or JJ will be competing with Thomas for the starting role.
