Unfamiliar back 5 (inc keeper) doesn’t help, but we’ve been very poor with defending set pieces for a while.

Not sure to be honest. I've heard it mentioned on Sky or somewhere that there is an obligation to sign after a certain amount of appearances. Not sure if they were just grasping for reasons why we haven't seen more of him either though 🤷‍♂️
