FA Cup quarter finals draw (United at home)

Recommended Posts

Don’t actually think it’s a bad draw for us, I’d much rather get them in the quarters than in the semis, as OGS has lost 3 or 4 semis with United and there’s no way he’s losing another one. Let’s hope they go to the wire against Real Sociedad which won’t be an easy game.

Also, Man City away to Everton is going to be a really though game for Pep. We could well be favourites for the Cup if we beat United.

Bit of balance....could have been City, United, Chelsea and even Everton away.all worse than United at home. A draw will mean penalties. We drew with them Boxing Day...deservedly so....we have every chance, and even then a chance of Bournemouth or Saints in the Semi Final....

Show a little faith....

I just absolutely love it. These are great days..

Cup quarter finals almost a given every season and playing man u at home on a level, nay, as slight favourites

Even last season, Man U at home in a de facto play off for the CL.

What a time to be alive!

Agrees but it would also be nice to win some of these big games. So many QF defeats and losses in important games such as final game last season. Man U know how to win at all costs even when they play cr4p

We seem to have some sort of mental block against Man U every game we set up like we don't want to lose and just cave. Given we've really come on the last few years and got some really big results against the biggest teams you'd hope that at the very least we'll set up positively, even setting up in a neutral manner would be an improvement on the last few times we've played them when we've given the game away.

Correct.

But it takes years to develop that winning culture. We are on that journey.

I can remember the man u of the 80s who couldn't buy a league title...it.took a league cup and a cup winners' cup to get them going..and even then it.took them 4/5 years to get the hang of the champions league (They seemed to go out to galatasary each season)

Worst draw we could have got. We hardly ever beat them they are better away than at home and we're poor at home. Not only do we have to play Utd but also the biased officials and VAR as well.  Plus it will be on Tv and we'll have to suffer all the bloody ex utd pundits and their smugness.
