Rodgers is really earning his salary this season and has done a superb job so far, but yeez I can't remember madness like this before.

I said it at the time and even more so now but it was a mistake not getting another midfielder on loan when we knew that we couldn't recall KDH, and that Praet was out a while. With the rate of games we were going to have we were naturally going to become overly reliant on players like Maddison and Tielemans playing almost every game. I'm not even talking going out and spending much money, just get an attacking midfield option on loan who is competent enough to step into the team for your FA Cup games and to come on for Maddison and whatnot.

 

This will end up being longer than we feared, we all know it, it seems to happen every time there's an injury this season. We now have a real problem, and with the rate of games Tielemans has played this season I feel like it's only a matter of time before he gets some kind of knock as well.

People keep saying “it’s a chance for Under” but Rodgers will never give him that chance.  He’ll rejigger the lineup to play 10 guys out of position before he starts Under in a meaningful game.

There normally isn’t but Kelechi Iheanacho playing in the same position as Maddison, it’s pushing it.

Well with Perez and Dennis out we haven’t much choice. Either we try out Keli there or bring in ünder. That’s probably the only option.

I think I’d rather give one of the youth players a try rather than playing Iheanacho there. Under could be a possibility but I think his decision making really needs some work to become a decent attacking mid, that said I guess we just need anyone.

People were laughing at us being linked with Lingard, we could do with him now   who knows what Brodge has up his sleeve. Fingers crossed he’s got a plan.
