justfoxes Posted 30 May 2021 Posted 30 May 2021 Looks like The Gooneys want to take Mahrez from Man City with Reports saying Pep is going for Grealish & Kane so Mahrez could be on the way out? Theoretically Any thoughts if Brendan fancies bringing him back to the KP now we have top 5 place European football would you welcome him back? 4

foxesfan98 Posted 30 May 2021 Posted 30 May 2021 With all the talk of getting a new right winger in, I think we should be looking to sign two wingers this summer. One proper quality player to slot in on the right as first choice and a youngish winger for either side who wouldn't expect to walk into the team and who can change the game off the bench. The injury to Barnes this season highlighted how shocking our depth is in these areas, with our only other options being Albrighton, Under and Perez, which forced us to change formation and personally I think we play much better football in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. For a starting right winger, Domenico Berardi, Brais Mendez, Leon Bailey, Moussa Diaby or Emi Buendia would walk into our team and add the creativity and attacking threat Rodgers has admitted we need. Berardi's numbers this season have been ridiculous (17 goals, 7 assists in 30 games) at a team who haven't even qualified for Europe, so he would be the dream but you'd have to assume a top team would come in for him. The options I like for the slightly less proven deputies are Musa Barrow (Bologna, loan from Atalanta) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Rubin Kazan). Both predominately play on the left and would be a good alternative to Barnes in case of another injury. I know we'll probably sign Andros Townsend on a free but it's nice to dream.

If an established team came in for him then staying at Brentford will have little appeal. He may just consider taking them to the Premiership a repayment in full of them giving him the opportunity to succeed. His price tag would be the only problem with any avenue for him to leave the club.

They need someone at the helm who can utilise all this talent, they totally lack direction and despite being touted as a big European team, they have little substance when you stand up to them.
Mint23 Posted 30 May 2021 Posted 30 May 2021 Talk of West Ham trying to sign Daka, I think last summer would have been the time to get him when he was still insert the radar but if the hammers are in the hunt then we certainly should be. 1

I would like a new striker and I think edouard will be the man we go for. I would really like us to expand our options out wide though as a priority, as we have reasonable depth all over the pitch apart from there. Guess its going to be dictated by finances and who we lose as if we managed a big sale, we could then look to invest in a couple of hidden gems like jakobs, hlosek or to a lesser extent sima. 2
matty98 Posted 31 May 2021 Posted 31 May 2021 I wouldn't be against us going for John Egan from Sheffield United. Experienced CB and captain and just a very solid CB. Doubt he would cost a lot either.
scinnell Posted 31 May 2021 Posted 31 May 2021 What is happening with the James Rodriguez situation with him going back to Madrid?

matty98 Posted 31 May 2021 Posted 31 May 2021 Watching France u21s, I'm even more desperate for us to sign Moussa Diaby. He's going to be a phenomenal player. 1
