Nowhere near creative or dangerous enough going forward if so and it will eventually tell. In order for 3-4-1-2 to work the advanced 3 have to all be rapid and interchange to make up for the lack of width and overload.

We've seen this work at times but we've seen it's flaws at that but what you're suggesting we would play is a 3-5-2 with 5 defenders and 2 defensive minded midfielders and a deep play maker, I would be astonished if we could make that a reliable attacking system.

The double pivot of Soumare and Ndidi is likely to be with the idea of having 2 direct and fast wingers either side of a dynamic striker (Barnes Edouard Trincao) a bit like what Liverpool play with the full backs working in great partnership with their respective wide forwards.

...the only problem with this is, Soyuncu is not at his best in a three!!!

Ah to be young again, adulthood is just the realisation that there’s not enough time to revolutionise Truro City’s youth policy and implement a tiki-taka philosophy because you have to do the big food shop.

And mow the lawn.

This will be announced next week IMO, once both teams have concluded their seasons.

Would love Monday morning announcement, hate end of season as new one seems so far away! They were crap signings but Martin Allen summer was great fun a signing every day haha

Watching the Lille game now. He does seem similar to N'didi, just gets forward a bit more.

I know it's possibly not the best game to judge as Lille are defending a lead to win the title.

Looks tidy though and would hopefully give us more physicality & height.

That was after winning the league, we can pretend it doesn't matter all we like but the fact of the matter is the best players want to play in the champions league. I personally don't understand why, we would have likely been in it for one season and not got out of the group but it is priceless in attracting and retaining players including Tielemans.
