It also proved the fallacy of the arguments about the cup being a distraction. Rodgers could've used many excuses to drop out throughout the run- league, Europe, injuries, hectic schedule- but he always aimed to win it, made changes where appropriate and full strength from QFs onwards.

 

If we can do it in a condensed season with European football, there's no reason why others without it in a normal season can't have a serious go too. I think fans of other clubs will put a lot more pressure on their managers after this.

If anyone had a minor moment of deflation when Liverpool scored, just go watch the FA Cup final highlights again and relive one of the best ever moments possible! :wub:

The day was great. The win was unbelievable. But, I still can’t get over how fuching good that goal was. Absolutely amazing.

 

Most players would run off in an absolute frenzy. 
 

Youri watched it fly in and sauntered off with such class. To me that shows just how good he is, and how much better he is going to be. He wasn’t even surprised at the quality he’d just produced.

It's been bloody fantastic weather over here in Ontario. Yesterday low 20s, same today.. i felt so happy getting outdoors yesterday before the game and then after. Total chill and then the same today. Went for a long bike ride with my son and chilled. He is a daddys boy 100%. I have never felt so relaxed and fukin fantastic in this bloody pandemic then i do right now.

 

Work can go fuk itself for a week...ok, i wish it would  but it won't lol.

 

Think I will have this smile on my face for a long time. I dont even give a fook what happens.. if we make champions league i will be super happy. If not, i still am super happy.

 

We won the feckin FA Cup! 

 

Balle Ballleeeeeeeeeeee!

Having been fortunate enough to watch many of our most recent big games at the stadium I found it really hard watching on the TV.  The atmosphere in the pub was pretty average too as many fans were Derby, Utd etc.  I go to most of the games alone but inevitably soak in the atmosphere around me.
 

What I mean is when we won the league I felt like it was a constant high.  It does feel odd that our FA cup win has come under the Covid situation albeit I’m glad for those few that could be there.

 

Does anyone else feel similar?  Almost like they haven't really celebrated as much or how they normally would? 
 

Watched the highlights again last night but certainly feeling strange about it...nothing left to win now.

I think a lot of that oddness comes from the season not yet being over too, and there's still something massive to play for. I have an optimistic voice in my head that says it's going to play into our hands, but, in saying that, I might look very foolish in a few days time...
