If Alexander-Arnold doesn't go too, who is on set-pieces? Mount? Or will we let Kane hit the wall 5 times a game like he usually does?

 

I find the Alexander-Arnold clamour a bit much from Liverpool-based journalists at times but there's no doubt he's on good form and has the ability to create.

Hope Southgate bins the 3/5 at the back and the two holding midfielders. With the amount of talent we have in attacking players just have a go!

We could have predicted the 7 last week and saved the time making them wait.

 

I guess he only wants one other main striker which DCL will be.

 

And clearly Southgate doesn’t rate Alexander Arnold .


Shame for JWP but we have lots of midfield options.

 

Rest are ones for the future .

If Greenwood remains in the squad he can act as the 3rd striker, he's class.

Can't understand why he wouldn't gamble on Trent, when on form that bloke is ridiculous and can dictate a game from RB. 

We can play defensive all we want, but frankly we don't have a solid defender out there. Every starting defender has an absolute howler in them, and then we don't create enough due to loading with 7 defenders.

He's known the team all along, this 33 was all to give time for Maguire and make it seem that Trent was considered. 

 

When we take both Maguire and Henderson, both injured, I'll be fuming.

I genuinely have no strong feelings on selections tbh, I can't control the squad but it does make great drama.

 

Absolutely buzzing for this now the sun has come out. The football songs are top of the playlist. Euro/WC tournys remind me of great, warm summers just watching games endlessly. Racing home from my GCSE exam to watch Australia v Japan in 06, car flags, England songs in 2004 before scuttling off to bed devastated after what Zidane did against us.

 

96-06 seemed to be the peak support. We genuinely thought we could win it, flags were sold in their millions, everyone got in on making a song of some sort. It seemed to be sunny everyday, was an exciting 3/4 week squeeze of football with games all day and all that was rekindled in 2018 as the WC went on. Genuinely hope it's back for the Euros.

 

If nothing else, 18 June and the build up to it will be frikkin amazing. Bring it on man.
