Will be interesting to see if him being drafted in to the first team for training from February rather than do U18/U23's will have benefitted him more in the short term, can only be a good thing. I don't know much about him, he's appeared quickly when no visitors were allowed to watch U18/U23's.

Maswanhise needs to stay away from the the under 23's unless the situation has changed. Why not a loan to a league one club? Bet Hasselbaink would love to have him. I know there are considerations given his age but the guy needs to play with men not boys. Real competition. From what I saw today he has the mentality. Reminded me of that other guy who did so well today Luke Thomas.

Forest and Birmingham given Cat 1 Status so PL2 Div 1 and Div 2 are both 14 teams this season - which means we are not relegated and will continue in the top division next season

Never understood the hate Beaglehole gets on here, guaranteed it’s from people that have never met him, have no idea about the fella or any clue how a professional clubs youth set up is meant to be ran. 
Interesting, there must be some top youth coaches on here!

Idiots think he tells the players to hoof it ! Yep , idiots .
He’s a decent man who’s hands are tied by above . Loans etc tie his team up also . Let’s see how Ben gets on now he’s in charge.

Very possible. Quite a few clubs have took on people with this role in mind this summer.

I can assure you that most people who have WORKED with him and most people who know him from within the professional game DO NOT share your opinion...!

 

Brendan Rodgers definitely knows how a professional clubs youth set up should be run.....do you think its just a coincidence that this long overdue change that folk have been calling for for many years has happened so shortly after someone with the foresight and credibility of Rodgers has taken charge at the club??

 

The simple answer is that Rodgers now has as much credibility and influence with the owners as Rudkin does.....and Rudkin was Beagleholes sole protector for too many years.

There’s a line between valid criticism and personal attacks. We passed it along ago.

Only since the mindset from above changed in the past 2 years when LCFC realised they are a BIG club did they change their view that winning the U23 PL title is meaningless in the bigger picture  and that hose who are too good for U23s but will never make our first team did they start to realise the saleable value and a valuable income stream of these players if they had successful loan players at lower league clubs (knight & muskwe to date and no doubt Hughes and Callum wright to follow).

 

There were very few loans up until the past 3 seasons before this. Barnes and Chilwels loans were forced through by their agents and KDH was denied a loan move for at least 2 seasons before he finally got his chance at Blackpool

 

Ben Petty is a very good adn highly respected coach and while results may not necessarily improve because of the new approach to loans, the style of football and the technical ability of the players will definitely improve....which is of greater benefit to all concerned than winning the meaningless PL2 title.

Those who know the truth, know the truth....!   Nothing personal, just an informed opinion shared by many who are unable to comment publicly.

Help me out @Foxy-Lady? In one post above you said Beaglehole could only be removed by a nuclear bomb, but your last few at least imply that he's gone or had his role changed, with Ben Petty assuming coaching duties. Which is it?!

Sorry.....the nuclear bomb referred to a photo of him at the training ground yesterday.

 

My understanding is that he has been removed from his role as U23s manager and Ben Petty has replaced him. i don't think there has been any official confirmation yet of this change or Beagleholes new role at the club.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. That's absolutely criminal what's happened to KDH. Not only for him financially and developmentally but also the club. Hoping that we've turned the corner now and have finally realized how a Club in the top 20 in the world is run. Finally.
