The Definitive Trophy Order of Preference

As there was a lot of talk at the end of the season regarding participation in the UCL vs Winning the FA Cup and other such general football discussions I would like to know how Leicester fans feel about WINNING all available trophies especially now we've gotten t the FA Cup Monkey off our backs.

 

The List (also my order of preference):

 

  • Premier League
  • UEFA Champions' League (two weeks ago this would have been below the FA Cup)
  • UEFA Europa League
  • FA Cup
  • League Cup
  • UEFA Conference Thing
  • Community Shield

 

Seriously torn between the FA Cup and the Europa League now. I think getting new (non-AUDI cup) trophies is better, but I'm tormented?

If we win the Europa League I will retire from Leicester City fandom and go live in Botswana and take up birdwatching as a hobby.

Still think there's something about the FA Cup that beats everything else, although that's also because we'd never won it. But it's a pure knockout competition, no second legs or second chances. Incredibly satisfying to win.

If we hadn't won the PL, it'd be top.

 

European trophy is the next quest.

 

Another PL & FA Cup would be lovely :D 

 

Community Shield I'm not that bothered about.

Yes...Coming 3rd or 4th in your own league, then winning the CL, just seems wrong to me..

We talk about how some devalued our own FA.cup....but when Champions League included League positions of 2-4th to qualify,that was

the biggest Trophy devaluation....ever...

 

Champions have earnt the right Not to get caught up in Fixture congestions. Playing the Elite only, of the Previous season...!

Then..have the EL for Top 2-4, and conference for 5-6th.(also League cup winners)

plus bring back  Cup-winners European cup**...

Manutd/L'pool/Chelsea have not earnt the right to Play in the CL this year, only Mancity have qualified in my mind for " Champions" league

 

In many ways...the CL has become the Superleague for the traditional-elite, with the odd 20yr  irritant story like Leicesters..

I would like to go a little backwards, to Jump far foward...Respect again the True individual champions, by having only Champions in the CL..!!

** with another twist..maybe, just maybe put also cup-winners in den CL, because they are Champions of their  nations cup..

2nd..3rd, 4th, devalues the CL..!

Winning trophies builds legacies for me. I genuinely believe this club can be a CL club but it takes time. The trophy wins gets us to the next level. I’d love us to add a few more fa cups and and challenge Seville as record holders for the EL. If that means we finish fifth and sixth over the next 3 or 4 years, I’ll snap your hand off right now.

You can't beat being the best in your country, so Premier League should be number 1. No matter how many times you win it. 

 

Then a European trophy comes second now, as we've win the the FA cup. 

 

However, the next competition is always the most important, so community shield it is :scarf:

Is the Champions League on normal telly tonight? 

 

The FA Cup final got the highest TV viewing figures for a match this season (and nearly a million more than last season). Not sure if that will be eclipsed tonight?

My twist would be ... Run the Cup Winners Cup on different weeks (could probably get to Round of 16 by end of August) and give clubs chance of a European double.

Premier League will always be magical. But we’ve won it in the most magical way. Ever. So it’s Europa for me. Europa is the next step.

Champions League final gets 100's of millions of viewers worldwide and more than events such as the Super Bowl.  Not sure what the worldwide viewers for the FA cup final was as could only see viewing figures from the BBC and BT
