Just reading up on an ICD, you can still do sports after 1-2 months, but I don't know if he can do it at elite level? I wouldn't be surprised if we see a retirement from pro football, which would be a huge shame. However, the main thing he's still around and will be a functional father and husband.

Apparently Daley Blind has one of these devices and obviously still plays pro

I would personally be very surprised if he played football again. For a start I think it would go against any medical advice, you’d also find it hard to come by anyone who would medically insure him now, too. 

Yes, I understand they want to know, but it doesn't give them the right to know. I just hope there's consent for the doctors to share this as it would otherwise be a transgression of privacy rights.
