Seeing as I got grief after the last game, I'm gonna make point of saying this. I thought this was Sterlings best game of the tournament. He was releasing the ball quicker, he was making decisions quicker and wasn't just running into defenders expecting them to just move. He didn't score, but scoring doesn't mean on the whole you've played well, that's how Mark Lawrenson picks his team of the week, it's a lazy way to judge a player performance.

ITV something like a 5% win average compared to the beeb with about 75% ( slightly exaggerated but the point still stands!) plus awful build up and general fawning over any Man U link makes ITV suck balls compared to the beeb. More like it tonight. We didn’t seem to hold back and play negative slow football. I wanted to see more going forward and they delivered….. the quality is there and there’s no need to be negative and cautious.
