I agree. We have previously signed players in this price range, thought they would be great, and then turned out to be dreadful

You should work for our scouting / analytics team! That’s 100% why we signed him. And interestingly we first made contact with the player in February so this weakness was spotted and addressed quite a while ago!

Good players always settle in....took wilf and Tielemans and castagne about 10 mins..ricardo needed 5 or 6 games. 

 

Cags in fairness did need a year. I thought the guy was gonna be a complete car crash when he assumed.Maguires role

A combined £40m for both Soumare and Daka could be really great business. Both young and with bags of potential. Need to give them both time to settle, but the beauty is that we can afford them time as we already have Nacho and Vardy up front and plenty of midfield options. So long as we avoid the injury disasters of last season, we are building a very very strong squad. Need to shift a few players on and hopefully get a winger and a centre back and we will really mean business!

It seemed that if teams bully our midfield and Tielemans they could nullify us. I think it was around Feb time that Bren switched from Mendy to Hamza for that reason. Hamza would need at least a season of first team football to get to the level we need and he won’t get that behind Ndidi. Soumaré should give us the ability to compete well in two competitions without knackering Ndidi and our CL chances.

Vardy + Daka + Kelechi +  Youri + Madders + Kevin + Denis + KDH ( + Ayoze) = 76 goals

Very astute again! I feel sorry for Mendy because he is a good player and early in the season alongside Tielemans was very good. But you are right in that teams targeted him physically when he was played. He's probably better suited for Europa games and certain teams in the league like Brighton, Norwich, teams that play good stuff but don't have the personnel of the top 7 teams.

 

But I think it means Hamza leaves over Mendy, because Hamza isn't the best on the ball.

...that could be true!!!

 It is really down to the individual and these two are mentally honed to perform from the off.

  The only possibility I can see, is if Rodgers elects to play Daka as a wide Right instead of as a two upfront. It is a matter of utilising the assets that we have and Rodgers does have previous in putting round pegs in square holes.

Wes settled in pretty quick . Yes he made some errors but on the whole he’s  been brilliant.

How on earth did Rudkin negotiate 17m for Soumare? Goodness me.

Just look at the possibilities we have for next season.  The last 2 seasons we just missed out of the champs league to and let s few teams in that shouldn't have been there if we didn't slip up.

 

Now it feels like we have the personal to get over that line and who knows a little bit more silverware.

 

Charity shield now doesn't look like a certainty for MC

I really love these early doors signings, That means, they are players that we have scouted properly and really want instead of those last minute panic buys.

 

Should have quit this football thing, when we won the FA Cup (guys, we really flippin did win the bloody FA Cup....!!!), but it is still way too exciting being a Leicester City Football Club fan. :wub:

If the reported fees for both players are correct, it's crazy we could upgrade on Hamza with Soumare for just £7 million or thereabouts.
