Two of Mendy, Praet or Hamza will surely go. At the very least on loan.

I'd be sorry to see any of them go.

But a midfield squad of, say, wilf, youri, soumare, KDH and say, Mendy should see all of them.get sufficient game.time and offer enough depth....plus we haul in 25m for Praet/ Hamza and lose their wages off our spiralling wage bill

If the reported fees for both players are correct, it's crazy we could upgrade on Hamza with Soumare for just £7 million or thereabouts.

'old yer osses, we haven't seen the boy from Lille play yet.

Ndidi, Soumaré, Tielemans, Maddison, Praet, Mendy, Choudhury, & Dewsbery-Hall is a hell of a choice for midfield options! I’d think it most likely we’d look to move Hamza on this summer. Mendy is out of contract next summer. If we can add a creative player down the right side, we’d be well set to try and crack that top four again. If we can finish top six again though I’ll be delighted.

I'm not the sort to get too carried away, but there's no doubt he's an upgrade on Hamza and he's two years younger.

I really love these early doors signings, That means, they are players that we have scouted properly and really want instead of those last minute panic buys.

Should have quit this football thing, when we won the FA Cup (guys, we really flippin did win the bloody FA Cup....!!!), but it is still way too exciting being a Leicester City Football Club fan.

Yeah, I promised all that if we got over the line in 2016, id give up football, as it couldn't possibly get any better.

Then I fancied seeing us in Europe, then really wanted the FA Cup.

I'm a greedy basket now😄

Very true. All 3 may go, tbh. Praet seems like he wants to move on - and he is too good to sit on a bench.

We don't have an infinite pot of money and I seem to recall we were really high on a list for wages/ turnover.

Mendy has 2 years left.

With Afcon I imagine we might hold a slightly bigger squad this year. With sowah, amartey, mendy, ndidi and iheanacho all going we won't leave it to chance.

Mendy is on £55,000 a week for the next two seasons and he'll most likely only play a handful of games. Not a bad life being a Premier League reserve footballer. :o

Are you sure Nigeria qualified?

Ah of course, for some reason I thought he’d signed a two year deal not three. I like him, he’s not the most gifted and not everyone is a fan, but he has his moments. Having squad depth is something we are going to need going forward to compete on all fronts on a regular basis 👍

Very astute again! I feel sorry for Mendy because he is a good player and early in the season alongside Tielemans was very good. But you are right in that teams targeted him physically when he was played. He's probably better suited for Europa games and certain teams in the league like Brighton, Norwich, teams that play good stuff but don't have the personnel of the top 7 teams.

But I think it means Hamza leaves over Mendy, because Hamza isn't the best on the ball.

In a perfect window I would like us to end up with 5 CM's who are all either first team standard or potential to be first team standard.

Ndidi, Tielemans, Soumare, KDH and ideally a new signing who can cover as a CDM (maybe the lad from Empoli we've been linked with?)

Ideally Praet, Choudhury and Mendy to be sold as I feel all three of these are just squad fillers rather than players with potential to be threatening places.

I was surprised he got a new deal. I remember that we'd had to use him due to injurys and he was playing well in all honesty. Maybe he's one of those that's good in the dressing room because I can't figure this out.

Was it just me that spent yesterday afternoon singing “Soumare, woah-oh!” to the tune of Volaré?

I suspect that’s just a Water Lane at 10 pm kind of thing…

Hopefully this means we will see less of Hamza and Mendy, hopefully at least one of them is moved on.

we asked him to extend his contract until after the restart following lockdown due to injuries, which he did when he could have walked on a free.

Not only did he stay he put in a few good performances and with Ndidi still being injured we offered him a new contract at the start of last season.

He gets a lot of unjust stick but personally i like him. He is a more than capable back up for Wilf and put in some POTM performances in the early part of the season.

Don't get me wrong I actually like him. He isn't as good as ndidi even though he sits in the same position, but his ball distribution was the thing that has caught my eye with him. 2 years can't hurt.

We're really good at this recruitment business.

How long before clubs realize, the players LCFC asks for are probably your most undervalued talent -- whether or not your manager sees it that way?

e.g. Koeman won't play Trincao ... but with our sustained interest, in terms of potential and future value he must be an "A" asset worth either pricing up or holding on to.

You see a lot of "let's ditch our recruitment and just hijack Leicester's bids" on forums like Arsenal-Mania.

Will the "English premium" be joined by the "Leicester premium" in the transfer lexicon?

What percentage is Soumaré's sell on clause do you think ? For a player of his age I would expect at least 25% . Certainly we can add value to a player but it is not all clear profit.

Has there even been suggested there actually is a sell on clause?

Doubt Lille will have been able to convince Rudkin to include a sell on clause as high as 25% when they were happy for him to leave, Soumare wanted to leave, and he only had 1 year left on his deal

If anything it will probably be 15% of the profit we make at most, like it was with Maguire and Hull
