Honestly!..

You are joking right?

Try and understand before one of us dies!!.....

It isn't just about his dismal/embarrassing performance today!

Did you actually watch him play last season?

If you did, then please enlighten me with some games he played well in?

I'm waiting with abated breath 😂

I perfectly understand why fans aren't enthusiastic about him.  What I don't understand is making that argument using a childishly edited video of a meaningless match where he's just getting minutes in his legs.  It just makes your argument look weak.

All the harshest criticism on here is spot on.

He should be nowhere near the team and if anyone is stupid enough to buy him then we should bite their hand off.

I get the impression he'd be perfectly happy sitting on the bench. He should have pushed on since arriving but he's gone backwards.

What argument?

There is no argument!

Wow, that highlight reel is pretty atrocious, whether rusty or not lol

If he is starting games for us this season, then I will be concerned.

Needs to be 3rd choice as a no.10, behind Maddison and possibly even Praet would offer more there than Perez.

I've got no strong dislike or agenda against him, I just don't think he is very good.

I'd happily play League Two roulette here with Ayo. Stick 24 League Two right wingers in a hat and Perez. Shake it up and take whichever one we get, if we get Ayo again then best of 3.

I think we all know he's not the most gifted player to pull on a City shirt.

But you would have to be an absolute simpleton to vindicate your bias against him using a rusty performance in a pre-season friendly which is his first game back.

The problem with that statement is that it was Barnes' first game back as well, but after a long layoff.

I don't despise Perez as some on here seem to, but he does appear to be the weakest link in what the line ups today suggest is our almost first choice 11.

Defending Perez, because it was a ‘meaningless friendly’ is pretty weak. Ok it’s largely about match fitness, but it’s also about staking a claim and I saw 4 or 5 players do that post 60 minutes.

He simply is not good enough. What we saw today was exactly the same as we’ve been seeing for two seasons - wants too much time on ball, easily tackled, not strong enough and not quick enough.

I would say nearly every time he received the ball, he lost it. He offers absolutely nothing at all. I don’t say that with any pleasure, I support everyone who wears the shirt, and I’ve defended some pretty average players. But enough is enough, honestly I’m amazed BR still gives him any opportunities. Ok, he’s often been played out of position but even when he’s played centrally he’s done very little.

Im as harsh a critic of Perez as a player as anyone, but posting that on the club's twitter page is a disgrace.

Why don’t you log into Twitter and tell him then :D

By all means call him shit on here, it’s a fans forum fair enough. But tweeting him personally is ****ing weird, why would you want to go out your way to do that with your day?

You'd hope he won't be near the 11 when everyone is fit, he's not terrible but he doesn't shine in any department either, often anonymous and hasn't seemed to work out for him here. Think you'd be happy to get 8-12m for him and move him on and upgrade.

Fvcking hell you lot can’t read can you?

I’ve been accused twice of contents of a video I didn’t make and now whatever this post above is?

To be clear, @honeybradgermade a comment about the Twitter poster putting that video on the main lcfc Twitter handle. Ok, write back your issue to him directly.

Once and for all, he’s no good for us and the video clearly highlights that. Yes, it’s pre-season, but that highlight reel could be any of the games from the season. He’s not good enough and calling that out doesn’t make you less of a fan than any other.

Sorry for wanting the best for my club.

As much as every thread is the Ayoze Perez thread right now, there’s no need for this one until there’s actually some sort of transfer link.

I think Rodgers saying we don’t have and endless pot of money (obviously we know this anyway) is his way of saying, ‘look I know Perez isn’t good enough but you’re going to have to deal with it because we can’t afford to replace him’

Two things stick out to me here

Firstly he's not saying we don't have any more money or we have to sell before we buy

Secondly, if sellers know we have money they could inflate the price.

It always makes me laugh when Pep says he can't afford a player, yet they then go and splash out record fees on several players. It's all a kidology game.

KFS I KNOW IT WASNT YOU,

if you look up I mentioned I wanted to post the video before you beat me to it!

Otherwise, I’d have tagged you in that post!

Was quite excited when we signed him, now I feel that he is not far off useless

Didn’t we pay 30m for him? That’s not his fault of course, but seems like a criminal waste of precious resources with hindsight. The club should really examine carefully the process that led to that decision as an example of what to avoid in future.

He's definitely getting worse. He had flashes of brilliance in the first season, he was horrifying last season. I'm genuinely scared to what depths he can take it this season.

Well, he won’t be picked if that is the case, clearly
