Past 2 seasons he's missed roughly 1/5 to 1/4 of the season through injury and each time he's come back its took him a long time to get going again before getting injured. I'd cash in now as I feel he's going to go the way of Drinkwater.

Wheatley is apparently not reliable.

Hmm. not sure about the source.

Maddison's actions so far suggest he wants to stay.

Perhaps more tellingly, Maddison has featured heavily in the kit launches and done a player interview about how good the club is, suggesting that we're not looking to sell. That's backed up by Rodgers' interview.

It's not unprecedented for a player to be highlighted in this way by their club and then leave the club but doesn't happen often.

He isn't going anywhere. Is a key player for us this season and is happy here.

Come 12 months time, that could change but he really needs to kick on this season and this is the best place for him to do that.

Willock would be the only swap id entertain + cash obviously

Smith-rowe would be the one for me, but absolutely zero chance of that happening

Would’ve entertained him too but since the new contract + being given no.10 shirt seems unlikely

Seems to me that arsenal are starting to get desperate now ,Madders has not asked  to leave the club ,70 mill plus a player still wouldn't take that, like I said before Madders is not going to downgrade, end of .

I just can't see any of this interest being true. My guess would be his agent trying to get him a new contract, I can't remember if he has improved his deal since he signed.

I don’t buy it. He isn’t going to Arsenal, certainly not this summer.

Has this journo got any record of being reliable? Because football.London is typically not reliable at all.

Edit: hmmmm

The only one I would maybe consider from Arsenal is Willock but he seems more likely to go to Newcastle (they are apparently willing to pay his asking price of £22m)

Maitland-Niles, Nelson, and Nketiah wouldn’t be able to offer us anything

Chelsea could have some good players to bargain with (Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech) but I don’t think they would need or want Madders

Spurs no one really, maybe Dele Alli? Unreal between 2015-2018, underwhelming past couple of seasons but a new team and Rodgers might be what he needs to get back to top quality again, but probably not worth it

Why would people want Willock when we're stacked with CMs?

£50-60 million would be lovely. We can sign a couple of wingers and go 4 3 3

I doubt there's anyone on this forum who rates Maddison higher than me, I think he's genuine top drawer.

However if there is doubts over his long term fitness like there was Drinkwater and we plan on playing 4-3-3 now we have an abundance of quality CM's then it wouldn't be the worst time to sell him.

With you on this.

Kdh and praet are useful options and better in a 433. A lot of pressure on youri but we'd need to get an absolute baller of a right winger.

I think it's most likely boll8cks though.

Hes clearly a class player on his day, but his day recently has been jeopardised by injuries and off the field incidents. Could be a good time to cash in. Hes looked bright in pre season  though.

Wouldnt entertain any player swap unless it is for Saka or EMR which obviously wont happen. Not keen on strengthening a rival at all so dont help them by taking deadwood.

I mean, if they did offer £70m I’d take and go buy two wingers... but I can’t see it happening
