Suzie the Fox Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Woo Hoo, finally someone i've actually heard of and seen play
whoareyaaa Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 With him playing regularly with Bertrand this makes sense and looks more than capable with a minor price tag. lets go
Clever Fox Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 I think Kabak is more likely to happen given age and price, But I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with Vestergaard either.

It wouldn’t offset how much they would lose for getting relegated. If I were a Saints fan I wouldn’t even consider it right now.
Edingleyfox Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Rob Tanner saying Tarks and Vestergaard on the shortlist. I think Brendan wants PL experience.

Hollyfox Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Maybe the possibility of selling Dennis would finance this. We're definitely getting someone in and he certainly ticks a lot of boxes

If I were a Saints fan I wouldn’t even consider it right now. This was my thinking with Tarkowksi too. Why would Burnley sell their best defender for £20m when that would pale in comparison to staying up Same applies here, but maybe they have a decent replacement lined up. That would be my only hope on either

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 It’s funny that people are ecstatic considering this time last year we were overly critical about being linked with him. 2

Games where they both played an hour or more: P21 / W7 / D5 / L9 / GF33 / GA37 / GD -4 3 goals for Vestergaard amongst those, including a 92nd minute equaliser to draw 3-3 with Chelsea. Only 4 clean sheets. Vestergaard was injured so he wasn't in the squad for the 9-0 loss (Bertrand was) 1 1

Choudhury may be a better fit for them as they like the high press. Choudhury has the energy to do this well. Choudhury + £5m. Edited 8 August 2021 by MGLCFC 2
PaddyS Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Big, ugly and mean looking, just like a proper CB should be. Hope we get him.

Even the best defenders in the world get caught out when there's too much to do - be that from lack of midfield defensive support or the failings of their defensive colleagues - so bringing the pair of them who are both individually good players and having them play behind Ndidi/Soumare with Soyuncu/Evans/Ricardo/Castagne supporting them, I'd imagine they'd fare far better than they did on the south coast.
Tuna Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 They'll sell. They sold Ings and they'll sell him too for the right price.
