Very easy google

I’m not buying that. He fails the ‘eye-test’ - especially when it matters. Lots of players can hit a good top speed. But he doesn’t do it if his route takes him anywhere near a centre-half that might kick him. He’s been an abysmal signing, and even though I’d love him to come good, I just cannot see it happening at the level we are presently at.

Fails the eye test when it matters, what the hell are you going on about. None of your point about his pace makes any sense.

This forum sometimes cracks me up.

Curious where he stands when fit. Will he be 3rd or 2nd choice? :dunno:

Would like to see Daka tried up front with Vardy as we have never tried it before, with Fatawu & Mavididi out wide, Buonanotte & Skipp/Ndidi behind them, or  5 at the back with 2 wing backs… :dunno:

This is the weirdest post I’ve seen. Daka is pony but how can anyway doubt his pace lol

The biggest downside to his game IMO is his positioning; watch how Vardy moves laterally to pull defenders out of position, or creates gaps for him to use his (remaining) pace.

Then watch Daka; he almost seems to gravitate to the centre back marking him. Given his touch isn't the best and he doesn't have a box of tricks to turn defenders, he's never going to get that green grass that would make best use of his pace.

Sadly I agree with many that it just isn't going to happen for him here. The only crumb of hope is that if Vardy retires this year, he comes out of the shadows and starts being the main man. But it'd be a frankly biblical turnaround for that to happen.

Even Marcin Wasileski was top of the speed charts one week so it's of little consequence. Daka was probably running fast but was nowhere near the ball on the occasions he was doing it!

The Daka is fast debate isn’t really relevant. What is relevant is how many goals he scores and up to now he’s simply not scored anywhere near enough goals at Championship or Premier League level to justify selection when fit. He will probably end up ahead of Edouard on the bench purely because the latter has been so poor in his first few games in a City shirt.

He's not highly rated, we know, but he is a better alternative to Edouard for when Vardy needs to be rested.

Be good to have other options.

He will get plenty of gametime for us this season with Vardy being old and Edouard being Edouard.

I presume Edouard will go back in the Jan window? For us to not even play a striker midweek is damning for him.

We all joke about Daka, but we cant have Vardy playing 90 minutes every game. Its crackers.

As a striker he’s pony.

However, a ball of energy who can run, harass and press defenders appear to be his attributes. Is that a good enough reason to play him 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I thought we were a better team with him up front last season even though he's clearly a worse striker when compared 1 on 1 with Vardy.
