Any chance it could be a bit of a combination of poor organisation, fans without tickets trying their luck and fans with tickets trying to force their way in thinking they might miss a good chunk of the game?

 

After the final of the Euros, it's clearly a problem with English fan culture at the moment. Add the assaults on players following pitch invasions, coke in the toilets and the stands, and stuff being chucked on the pitch. We're seeing a renaissance of sh*tty behaviour post-Covid.

 

Probably best not throw shade at all Scousers though, as seems to be the case all over Twitter. I don't know how many times it needs to be said but every fanbase has its collection of morons.

There are thousands of innocent fans there, but there's also hundreds without tickets, storming the stadium. Blame them, nobody else.

 

That doesn't happen, nobody gets pepper sprayed. It's not hard to understand.
