I actually don't hate this. 

 

I've thought before that given Perez doesn't actually really play as a winger, Maddison could quite comfortably perform the role he does. 

 

As a narrow attacking midfielder, he's better on the ball than Perez is. Ricardo will provide the width and danger outside him and that's fine. 

 

Maddison as an actual winger is a horror show but that's not really what this will be. He'll need to work harder defensively, Perez defensive contribution isn't world class but it is under rated on here. 

 

If we'd stuck to a 4231 I'd be annoyed if Iheanacho wasn't at 10 given how good he was against Napoli but if its a 433 a la first half 19/20, Madders IS a better fit there. If Foxestalk didn't have a collective hate bone for Madders atm then nobody would really be denying that.

Interesting. Look forward to see how we really line up. Soumare excites me, Maddison not so much. Still find it a bit frustrating we only have place for one of Vardy, Ihenacho and Daka.

 

Just hope we perform today and don't look 2nd best most of the game. Go on the lads!!!

Probably because he only fits in a formation that hinders us, yeah it got the best out of him but we are more fluid as a team like this. Obviously Maddison shouldn't be wide or starting though.

I mean, it could work. But like I said we need to be quick on the ball. Maddison needs to step up, he is getting chances, and he needs to take them.

You can't play Barnes upfront when you have Nacho and Daka as options
