Why did I let my boys talk me into buying us tickets for this?

This is feeling more and more like the 16/17 season as each match passes - poor at the back, lacking energy and purpose, struggling to create chances, losing too many games and new signings that haven't hit the ground running.

They are nothing special but at home, in front of a loud crowd and with one of the worst defences i think we’ve had in a long time, I’m sure they’ll score.

We need to score more

However, I’m going 2-1 to them I’m afraid

Lets Play long ball, 88% of the Time & depends on our speed merchants..

Watch the Top teams, they don t complain,  deliver Curve ball, low hard balls, low quick balls, and say midfield have to be strong enough, to compete fo r2nd ball, or 2 forward Chase the balls down...

Will we start nacho and Vardy together? I doubt it, I also doubt us having a good game, I expect it’ll involve a lot of sideways passing, goalkeeper passing to the opposition or the linesman and corners and free kicks that’ll just as well should be given as goal kicks. Our defence will flap, our midfield will tap and once we go a couple down I’m sure we will start to try and play. Oh and Zaha will score. Yeah can’t wait!

I pray to the almighty Zeus that Jonny Evans is fit for this one. Jonny back in to calm Cags the **** down and Vestergaard on the bench, preferably as an unused substitute.

You heard it here first…

WE’LL SMASH THESE!

The more I read through this thread, the more I’m convinced of a win on Sunday.

When FT is usually convinced of a win, we often tend to lose - and vice versa (hopefully )!

It’s the one place we don’t want to go when we’re playing badly, we just seem to crumble at Palace historically.

Having said that it would be a great opportunity to get three points, they’re not great themselves, but I just have so little faith in us at the moment that I can’t see is getting anything other than a defeat.

Backs to the wall game this. Massive in fact! Hope every single player feels the pressure tonite and uses it to turn in one hell of a performance. It's a litmus test. If we go down fighting I'll take it even if we lose but anything less than god help us. Everyone at the training ground in early tomorrow. Rogers stays up tonite to come up with a solid plan to beat palace than read the riot act to everyone. Sounds over the top but how else do you wake this team up when their slowly sleep walking off a cliff. nacho and Ndidi back with Vardy up top. Back to basics and everyone needs to put in 110%. We can turn this form around but its needs a diffribrilator asap. :chant:

If we were in palaces shoes, playing a side in bad form, with injury problems and looking certain to win, we would almost certainly lose. So maybe that will happen here! Its about the most positive I can be as any other way you look at it points towards a fairly comfortable palace win.

Nigerian outlet reporting that Wilf is INJURED and out for two weeks.

He is not listed in the Nigerian squad for the WC qualifiers over the October international break.

Not necessarily a bad thing, he's been largely as  poor as everyone else. Play Soumare and Tielemans with Kelechi behind Cards. Lookman and Barnes wide.
