......what a great potential to have someone of this quality involved in the team!!!

Just the quality and mentality Rodgers is looking to bring in and we will have to spend a fair sum to bring in the quality that he wants. Potentially under £20m in the January window.  A player that was previously in the market for £81m a few seasons ago, let's hope he fancies an adventure.

When they offer you cash or a discount off something in store, I'd always take the cash.

Would prefer a straight £60m for Youri

Good luck with that.

So would I but if this rumour is genuine and we want him, then it's one of the rare swap deals that I could see have some possibility.

What are shops offering you cash for? That seems like an unusual business model.

Or did you mean, if they offer you 10% discount on a £800 tv or £20 off, you take the £20 offer?

Real Madrid to Leicester City would be a strange move for him, he is one of their core players. Youri to them would also be unlikely, if he leaves , my guess he would go to Italy. Inter would appreciate his qualities I reckon.

You've never done second hand or trade-ins? O_o

Would they appreciate his wages?

Contract ends in 2022 and he has been used less and less over the years

Inter wouldn't be able to afford Youri at the moment as their finances are still a complete mess

Think he would be a shrewd signing. Experienced, a winner, tactically adept and can help the younger players.

We went for a similar profile player in January last year so not surprised by this link.

There are too many negatives about this. I just believe City need a complete reinvigoration.

Would a Spanish 29yo with a large family and having spent his whole career in Spain take to such a change in his life? Would he be motivated enough to provide the drive that's needed b us?

Love to have him alongside Tielemans, but their paths don't coincide at City.

I was wondering whether Brendan would welcome a player he could practise his Spanish with. But forgot, he already has Perez in the squad.

I was kinda hoping, that he'd forgotten Perez was in the squad.
