I've said since the start of the season, that especially in home games, there are times when Ndidi shouldn't be playing.

 

He's one of the best in the world at what he does, but if you want to play progressively from the back his ability to win the ball back is not necessarily as important as someone like Tielemans/Soumare/Maddison who can pick the ball up with their back to goal and are comfortable with doing that.

 

For me, with a back 3/5 Ndidi shouldn't play.

 

Either 2 CBs with Ndidi, or 3 CBs and drop him.

That was more like it! 

 

Perfect line up to start with. Every player was focused and determined for majority of the match and every player should be boosted in their confidence after today. 

 

Youri controlled the midfield. Evans back in the defence made us much more solid and organised. Soyuncu was better for it. 

 

Maddison was occupying that #10 spot perfectly, although tired neared the end. Vardy and Iheanacho pestering and pressuring the defence and both contributing again with a goal and assist. 

 

It was the victory we needed and the result reflected that. I was livid they equalised but the reaction to go back up the other end and get a goal was just exactly what you'd want to see as a fan. 

 

The atmosphere was brilliant. Can't knock it at all. Reminded me of 15/16 season. 

Loved it and well done to Rodgers and the players for the way we won.

Agree with all of this. Teams that let us play get punished, those that close us down and really press us we struggle with.

Even Ayoze got an assist!

 

I freely admit that I was talking to myself a bit when he was the first sub... but he made a beautiful pass to Vardy for the third(?) goal!

No but l did, lost stream at 75 mins and couldn't get it back. Missed 4 goals 🤬

Played with intent and on the front foot, pressed high and well as a team and shock horror we won. More of the same from now on please. Much better. 

 

Maguire was really rattled by the press and everyone on his back. So that was nice to see. Everything he did was terrible. I dont think he did one positive thing the entire game. 

 

 

Absolutley buzzing for daka. Everyone played well and very well played James maddison. Really upped his game.

That was far better than recent weeks, fair play to Rodgers and the players. At least we have shown some intent to win the game.

Hopefully Evans is ok.

Soyenchu is so much better on the left side of a 3 

 

Maddison excels in his normal cam position

 

Vardy and nacho are tremendous upfront together
