One of the most pleasing aspects of that game is that both of their goals were against the run of play and could have knocked our confidence....but it didn't, we passed that mental test.

I hold my hands up, I didn’t think it would work but the three CB’s looked so much more solid. Having Evans’ cool head back in the team really improves Amartey and Cags, both of whom were really good today 

Tielemans ran the midfield, Vardy was a constant menace and Pereira getting forward had them on the back foot 

Excellent win from currently, our best 11 imo, apart from getting Ndidi back in for Soumare.

It helps a number 10 having 2 strikers making runs instead of having to play the obvious ball to 1 up front which the defenders always know is coming

Soumaré v Ndidi is an interesting debate in this formation to be honest.

 

Man Utd had a lot of shots from range today, some of which Ndidi would have snuffed out, but Soumaré's composure and quality on the ball actually helped us massively in terms of progressing the ball up the pitch.

 

In a back 4 it's a no brainer that Ndidi players, but in the 5 that extra ball player in midfield has its benefits.
