The squad definitely needs a shake up. We've had the same core of players starting games for 3 or 4 years now. Easy to get complacent when your position isn't really under threat.

Good core of the squad have contracts ending in 2023, may have no choice but to do it anyway

Already said it before on here but the next 2 seasons are absolutely massive for the short-mid term future of this club and where we'll be. Lot of pressure sitting on Rudkin's shoulders.

Just to stir the post on this a little more.  Lampard has pulled out of talks with Norwich which could mean there is another job in the offing for him. I wonder if there is a little more of the manager merry-go-round to go yet during the International break.

Could be part of a chain - Rodgers to Man Utd, Potter to Leicester and Lampard to Brighton.  Just pure speculation of course but it seems strange he has pulled out now after being in talks with them for a few days.  Could of course be off to Rangers instead.

I just hope they stick to the past model of recruitment and disregard any overtures from Rodgers and Congerton.

Would Potted be interested in uprooting from Brighton to us ? Feel his name is being mentioned in higher circles and may regard us as a sideways move presently.

Potter isn't good enough to replace Brendan Rodgers so I hope not.

Or perhaps the Chelsea ‘ connection’ could happen again, Ranieri who did pretty well could be followed by Frank Lampard. Is he just waiting in the wings?

I just don’t think Lampard is the right choice for us , I really hope Rudkin & Top have more Ambition to bring in a better quality manager if Brendan does leave for Manure but I’ve a feeling Brendan will still be here for a while yet ?🙏

Norwich are closing on Dean Smith appointment as new head coach, after talks collapsed with Frank Lampard. Verbal agreement set to be reached and signed next week. #NCFC

I'd be disgusted if we let Rodgers go and brought in Lampard. That'd be so underwhelming, and considering the investment the club have made in the training ground and stadium, I think they'd probably push the boat out for a more worthy successor.

I think personally that Terry has more potential as a manager. A great captain and leader and very intelligent. Somehow  I don't see him doing a long apprenticeship.

Great centre half, Captain and leader, but when I've seen or heard him, the word intelligent has never leapt into my mind 🤣.

Lampard on the other hand does come over as an intelligent individual.

A lot of people think that of Terry but basically he is a man of few words. .Those who know him and played with him however speak highly of his understanding of the game. Frank is a far better communicator and I always thought he would do a Shearer and join the media.

I don't think John Terry is particularly nice but then football managers rarely are , if they want to be winners that is.

I’m sorry, I assumed you were being sarcastic with your suggestion of John Terry and so I joined in!

In all seriousness, I would struggle to think of someone I’d be less keen to have at my club. Dennis Wise maybe, but I’m not sure.
