He was renting originally, not too far from Lingdale golf course

Apparently recently moved to Old Dalby

Nothing to suggest he’s purchased anything round here

Completely and utterly wrong Mate.

The one in Costock is definitely not for sale

Just been told this morning it’s been sold for a couple of weeks now or his family have moved out a couple of weeks ago

lets not forget, our owners don't have an amazing record of appointing managers.

Sousa, Eriksen, Puel, Shakespeare were all pretty much failures.

Pearson, Rodgers, - all successful.

Ranieri.... kind of came out of nowhere in the press, declaring he wanted to manage us.  did we have him on a list at the time?

so the fear for me, is that at best, they have a 50% success rate of getting it right.  And that's when they've been in control of the hiring decision and timelines...

Who knows who we might end up with this time around!

The bit of comfort for me is that we are now an established premier league club with a league title, back-to-back top six finishes, a world class training facility and a talented playing squad. I'm not sure of the managers that are currently available, but there will definitely be interest.

I usually deal in left footed right wingers but I'll be doing some one off research on dynamic head coaches.

Criteria is:

• Plays 4 at the back and hates wing backs systems.

• Press like fcuk but can play the low block as a last resort

• Tactically flexible and astute

• Knows the importance of set pieces both defensively and attacking

• Likes to develop young players and especially from the academy

• Loves wingers

• Will consider a 6ft 3+ strong striker to have as plan B

• Doesn't talk dog shit

• hasn't yet been tagged a bottler

• has at least a modicum of success in Europe

Anything else?

I hope we’d be swift with an appointment. Rodgers would take all the staff he brought here with him and I don’t think we’d want Stowell in charge for too many games.

You see i'm not so sure.

I am as everyone knows fed up with the negative style we're trying (Can't stress that word enough) to transition into, I mean we've been trying for atleast 4, probably more like 5 seasons now and we're far from nailing it, it's still as poor and negative as the day we started it, but I feel that instruction, brief, direction has come from the powers above so i'm kind of at the point of what's the point.

Once there is a change within football - which i believe is coming fairly imminently (:fc:) I think, I hope, we'll follow, why we've followed this route with the strengths of our players at our disposal I don't know.

I just wish we'd be the exception like a minority of clubs are and not the (Unwritten) rule like a majority of clubs are.

...it would be good for us to once again find an innovative way of running our club!!!

With Rodgers struggling to find a way out of this funk, it might be worth bringing someone in to work alongside him to give him the help he needs. I suppose Rodgers having to have a conversation with his current staff to say he needs another option, would not be easy. It is the only way I can see of enhancing Rodgers, with retaining any of the positive things that he brings. It is like a family when you bring your own staff with you and you have made a commitment to someone you trust and he has trust in you.

Interesting, under your criteria, you would have discounted Pep, Conte.

I'm talking on behalf of what appears to be the required new manager from this forum and other fans. That's the common message.

This is a good point. I remember Brendan saying that a good team goes for the kill and that's what we used to do.

Now we do the exact opposite. Clearly the manager and team have lost a lot of confidence in their abilities.

The manager that said that and the current manager are almost polar opposites. I think a lot of people still think of him as the manager that joined us and not the one he has become over the past 18 months or so.

I keep getting laughed at (although less and less as the weeks pass) for stating that both parties (manager and club) would probably benefit from a change. It feels like we're aware that are brakes are failing, but we're waiting to crash before we try and get out of the car.

True, but I think winning football matches is the only criteria.

How many would be moaning about performance/style if we had won all 11 games so far and were top of the league?
