The 10 game before his first start they lost 8, draw 1 and won 1. Between match day 8 and his first game match day 27, lost 14, draw 3, won 3. Without him they would have been in big trouble. They were playing well but not getting the results they deserved until Eriksen gave them that extra bit of quality.

There is a case for selling if it would bring in a number of reinforcements, but certainly only for a value that reflects his worth to us, if not more. 1
