Happy with that in normal circumstances but given everything that has gone on, it has to give big confidence to the squad. 

 

Choudhury was excellent, you get the feeling there is a mistake in him if he played there for a while but today he was great. 

 

Brunt was, didn't look out of place at all. 

 

Maddison enjoying his football at the minute, would rather him rested a bit towards the end though. 

 

Watford are shit, has to be said. But if we can carry on playing well going forward. Maybe we can hide the defence enough to pick up some points.

All the youngsters did well except for VDC. I wish the lad well and hope he makes it, but I don’t think I’ve seen him have a decent match yet. Tielemans played better than of late. Choudhury made a few mistakes but acquitted himself well otherwise.

I thought we were more positive and forward thinking today, so refreshing to see.

 

The youngsters were excellent today and gives alot of hope for the future, be great to see feature as regular starters, I'd have no worries any of them starting for us in the Premier in games to come.

Brunt was very good. Excellent to win like that with so many missing. Watford must have one of the worst defences I've seen though, in the league game they were dire aswell.

....VDC plays on the right hand side!!!

He can look very ordinary, makes bad judgment at times but then produces a moment of great quality. The academy boys were top notch and Brunt has really come through this game well.

  The seniors meshed well with them and enthusiasm and team spirit will carry you a long way.
