I'm taking solace from their goal celebrations after beating the nobodies.

Shows how far we've come on in their heads and how long they've gone without a trophy :yesyes: Don't think that we've ever been a bigger scalp than we are now.

I was wondering..is there a crueller way to lose a game?

What was cruellest we've been beaten?

Watford?

Spurs?

Other?

For me:

1. Watford

2. Cardiff

3. Villa semi-final

4. Last night

I've just read we had a goal kick with only 20 seconds to go, is that right? It's a blur. The game management last night in the closing stages was shocking, surely they work on stuff like that?

moss signalled five mins

I reckon it was closer to six in any case  - in the second half there were four subs stoppages, 1 goal, KDH was down for a minute, madders for 30 seconds, loris for 2 minutes. And on ninety mins after the board went up, Marc got cramp for 20 secs or so. It’s safe to assume that moss was going to play almost six mins.  So the idea that we were 8 seconds from the end of the game is a good story but just not reality.  Kasper’s free kick needed to be longer and we needed to just press the ball out of play into row z.

a few months ago I watched my youngest’s U11 go 4-3 up in the final minute and go on to lose the game 5-4.  The idea that I would watch my team do that at professional level is astonishing - I remember saying to my son to think what would happen in the PL - how teams would see out the added time to protect the lead.  He reminded me of this earlier!

Being a current Danish international I was prepared to give Vestergaard the benefit of the doubt. Surely he could not be as bad as some were saying otherwise he wouldn't be playing for his country.

After his performance yesterday I admit I was wrong. The sight of him ambling back when they scored their third goal was sickening. He should have been busting a gut to get back. What was he doing so far up the pitch anyway. I'd rather not see him in a Leicester shirt again, play one of our young lads, anybody but that no hoper.

Surprised that VAR didn't pick up on a suspected hand ball for their second goal. Equally surprised there were no appeals from the City players.

Play off Final losses to Blackburn and Swindon. Both to dodgy pre VAR penalties.

Wouldn't even have last night on the scale. Liverpool in League Cup hurt more than last night.

Obviously the other games mentioned above carried more significance than last night's match. But in terms of a pure implosion of unprecedented levels I think last night has to be at number 1 for me.

Bournemouth, Liverpool, Spurs last season

Hmm this is quite the trend isn’t it Brendan…

What a stupid take that is.

I saw the Liverpool one coming just after half-time. Last night was just beyond our wildest cynicism.

I remember similar scenes when we beat Bristol Rovers in League 1.

They've won by scoring twice in injury time. Of course they'll celebrate that like they've won the league. We all would.

It has been said before that it's not always about talent but having a football brain. The coach can teach but you need the right players to have the nous. We had it when we won the League but what is going on now ? Is it injuries or more than that. I don't have the answers.

Obviously we wouldn't have made a big deal out of winning the game ourselves.

Mocking others for celebrating winning a match is just bitterness.

Someone just liked Spurs’ LinkedIn post with the video of their goal to win it. I’ve checked ‘I don’t want to see this’. Yes I am petty.

I reported it for an act of terrorism.

Come on this is proper desperate stuff. ANYONE in the football pyramid would have celebrated beating ANYONE ELSE in their league like Spurs did last night.

It's one in a million stuff and they rightly celebrated it as such. Take your blue tinted specs off.

its what makes the game a great watch   - unless you are on the receiving end !  Could be worse you could be a Newcastle Fan or even worse Derby County .

Spurs are a team that has disappointed its fans for so long , with a few half decent cup runs, that its hard to believe they feel entitled. If we had performed as underwhelmingly as they have done recently this forum would be foaming at the mouth. Somehow we manage to cock up winning positions against them but that's not their fault. The more we take the piss out of them , the more they celebrate when they beat us. We should treat every other team in the PL with respect and make sure we turn up and beat them. We are good enough you know.
