Diffco Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 By all accounts either Wes has reacted petulantly or naively, if he wants out; he made a bad decision by signing a new contract. His character before this situation was actually commendable, but he's thrown that into the fire if recent events are to be believed, and are true. Looks like that might be the case annoyingly. If he wants out after signing a 5 year deal recently, then bleed Chelsea and his agent to the nth degree. Make it work for the club. Make an example of him. Make Chelsea pay up if they want him, and if not dress him down over his social media presence. Myself personally and I imagine all of us fans expected better from his antics, maybe it's been contorted. Who knows. Leaves the club with a bad taste and that is not acceptable. At the very least it's unprofessional, detrimental and unfortunate. And a kick in the balls for this season. 2

Find it a bit odd as it has no discernible basis in contemporary fact. My eyes convinced me !! Watching both play, Cags is easily ahead of Amartey. 8 1
Bptiger Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Well if the little shit doesn’t play I hope Rodgers gets of his HIGH horse and gives cags a go 4

Not disagreeing, but my new eyes tell me this isn’t true and both are their own flavour of piss poor, Cags just has the ‘was once quality’ form to refer too
Popular Post Sly Posted 20 August 2022 Author Popular Post Posted 20 August 2022 The media generate clickbate, always have, always will and people bite. Fofana hasn’t actually commented on this at all, albeit he’s made some “interesting” responses on social media. He’s young and most likely doesn’t care about his reactions. These have been like throwing petrol on a bonfire for some. For all we know and what I was told, he really likes working with Brendan, so everything could be false. Tielemans has clearly had his social media training, as he rarely uses it at all. He’s rarely publicly commented on his contract situation. Last season he didn’t perform at his highest standards, however it’s hard when your a creative player and people don’t create space. We could have had prime Pirlo at times, however Daka and Iheanacho don’t move like Vardy etc. Perez for all the abuse he gets, presses higher up the pitch, allowing Youri more time. Youri will always be a legend for me. He’s been great for us, just thinking back to the loan spell and how great he was. Players are never going to be 100% on it all the time. The concept that you don’t try because you want a move is bonkers. Fofana though, similar to Maguire. Clearly talented (more so than Harry), However you can’t say he’s really improved the defence massively upon return. He’s not a VVD and defence is as much about the unit, as it is as individual. He’s less error prone than the likes of Amartey and Soyuncu. If / when he leaves though, I’ll not exactly be annoyed as those wanting to book him in oil, as we’ll most likely have close to a world record fee for a defender. FOR A CENTRE BACK …. AGAIN! 5

This is exactly what Chelsea want us to think. But the club knows Fofana better than we do and if it feels that he will knuckle down once the deadline has passed, it won’t hurt us. Selling now, on the other hand, definitely will hurt us. 2

It hurts us equally by being shagged by Fofana, his Agent and Chelsea. Give in to all this shite and we will be had over again time after time. This is not a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face, it is ensuring we are not mugged off again in future. I agree though, no panic replacements at stupid pricing. May be best to wing it until Rogers moves on. 5
sylofox Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 😂😂😂😂 people in shock over Fofana's antics. It was fine when he was doing it at St E to gain his move here. Yet people seem hurt because he's doing it here. 2
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Chelsea considering a bid for Maguire now 😂😂😂
Rigga Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Whatever we all think, the reality is atm it’s causing more harm than good to lcfc.. The lads need to pull together today.. must win game already in our season 1

It's like looking at that ripe apple on the tree you can't reach. Then you pick a bruised one up off the floor. But it would be doing utd a favour and weaken chelsea. 1
los dedos Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Not many comments on here about how Chelsea have acted. Absolutely horrible medium sized club who got lucky. Always hated them . 1 1
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Chelsea are guilty of the highest level of skullduggery here, outrageous behaviour.
Ashley Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Fofana was a no show one day this week for Training and he trained by himself yesterday. 1

Training alone is to be expected, no? No show is poor obviously, but if his head is elsewhere to the extent he can’t be in the squad, then I would leave him out of perpetrations. Soumaré is there though
ARM1968 Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Surely there is an argument now for clear and obvious tapping up? 2
st albans fox Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 If Chelsea were willing to pay the fee with an acceptable structure then he wouldn’t need to behave like this the club have to stand strong on this or precedence is set. the first thing to do is surely fine him a days wages for missing training. (Privately) some would say two weeks but there is no reason to drive an even larger wedge between the club and player. that has to be repairable in case Chelsea won’t pay up.
drew Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Perhaps the club are hanging on till the end of the window and will turn to Chelsea and say that we don’t have time to go out and find a replacement but we’ll take Chalobah, Gallagher and Odoi off your hands as part of the deal.

Wouldn’t work - only one loan allowed and we can’t take on two additional substantial salaries unless we get a few more out. we have presumably set a valuation. If Chelsea meet it and we effectively refuse it then we do irreparably damage the relationship between club and player. We should have advised them (and wes) that ‘an acceptable offer’ after a certain date is no good. The window on this deal cannot be aug 31
