Wesley Fofana - He is no more - finished - forgotten.

By all accounts either Wes has reacted petulantly or naively, if he wants out; he made a bad decision by signing a new contract. His character before this situation was actually commendable, but he's thrown that into the fire if recent events are to be believed, and are true. Looks like that might be the case annoyingly. If he wants out after signing a 5 year deal recently, then bleed Chelsea and his agent to the nth degree. Make it work for the club. Make an example of him. Make Chelsea pay up if they want him, and if not dress him down over his social media presence.

Myself personally and I imagine all of us fans expected better from his antics, maybe it's been contorted. Who knows. Leaves the club with a bad taste and that is not acceptable. At the very least it's unprofessional, detrimental and unfortunate. And a kick in the balls for this season.

The club will hold out for a world record fee for a defender and quite rightly so

if the soft southern cvnts don’t pay up then won’t be going anywhere

You realise it hurts us holding out.  Toxic player hanging around, ruining season prep, then buying a replacement deadline scramble paying extra for replacement which loses any extra get from sale.

My eyes convinced me !! Watching both play, Cags is easily ahead of Amartey.

The problem with Big Dan is he's good for one mistake per game that winds up in the back of the net.

Not disagreeing, but my new eyes tell me this isn’t true and both are their own flavour of piss poor, Cags just has the ‘was once quality’ form to refer too

This is exactly what Chelsea want us to think. But the club knows Fofana better than we do and if it feels that he will knuckle down once the deadline has passed, it won’t hurt us. Selling now, on the other hand, definitely will hurt us.

😂😂😂😂 people in shock over Fofana's antics. It was fine when he was doing it at St E to gain his move here.

Yet people seem hurt because he's doing it here.

Chelsea considering a bid for Maguire now 😂😂😂

Probably get him for £50 and a dozen match balls.

It's like looking at that ripe apple on the tree you can't reach. Then you pick a bruised one up off the floor.

But it would be doing utd a favour and weaken chelsea.

Not many comments on here about how Chelsea have acted. Absolutely horrible medium sized club who got lucky. Always hated them .

Fofana was a no show one day this week for Training and he trained by himself yesterday.

Training alone is to be expected, no? No show is poor obviously, but if his head is elsewhere to the extent he can’t be in the squad, then I would leave him out of perpetrations.

Soumaré is there though :dunno:

If Chelsea were willing to pay the fee with an acceptable structure then he wouldn’t need to behave like this

the club have to stand strong on this or precedence is set.

the first thing to do is surely fine him a days wages for missing training. (Privately)

some would say two weeks but there is no reason to drive an even larger wedge between the club and player. that has to be repairable in case Chelsea won’t pay up.

Perhaps the club are hanging on till the end of the window and will turn to Chelsea and say that we don’t have time to go out and find a replacement but we’ll take Chalobah, Gallagher and Odoi off your hands as part of the deal.

Wouldn’t work - only one loan allowed and we can’t take on two additional substantial salaries unless we get a few more out.

we have presumably set a valuation. If Chelsea meet it and we effectively refuse it then we do irreparably damage the relationship between club and player.  We should have advised them (and wes) that ‘an acceptable offer’ after a certain date is no good. The window on this deal cannot be aug 31

All three would probably say,  Leicester , Rodgers , no thank you.
